Woh Lun Chinese Food — Restaurant in Wareham

Lately this place has taken a back seat. Food is good but they are too cheap to pay for additional cooks. Whether it's a wed night or Sat night just one cook all the time. It's the Woman owner who takes the orders and maybe the husband cooks. They tell you 15-20 minute which is a total lie. After waiting an additional 25 minutes in the dining area, I decided to cause a stink. She ended up fighting and yelling in whatever language they speak with the cook and she gave me my $ back. But she continued to take orders on the phone and telling them 15-20 minute while I waited. Recently she was too quick and greedy to get the $ in her hands and rang up my order ($31.80) seeing I had 2 twenty-dollar bills in my hand but I had a few ones I wanted to give her. This confused her and she ended up screwing me 5$. I ended up leaving the food and losing the $5. No more business for this confused duo. The chicken fingers were the crunchiest food I've ever eaten that wasn't supposed to be crunchy. The chicken inside was dry and tough and the batter was so crunchy it was crumbling while I bit into it. I ate the food anyway because I'm fat but it was terrible. The egg roll was terrible it had a rock hard strip along the outside of one side of it like it had been sitting there for a very long time. The egg roll was stuffed with minced bright red pork but no cabbage at all just very bland pork that didn't taste good. The lo mein and boneless ribs were good. The hot and sour soup was decent. I order from here because it is the closest take-out Chinese food to me, however the quality is not quite as good as China Chef on the other side of Wareham. Laziness often wins out, and Woh Lun gets my order. That being said, this place still deserves 4 stars. The food is good, the prices are competitive and the portions are generous. That's all I'm really looking for when I order Chinese take-out. If I want dine-in with some class and high-quality ingredients in Wareham, I'd go to Gourmet Garden in Cranberry Crossing.
