Fantastic choice for dinner; a real stand out from other Italian restaurants in the area. We had the cioppino linguine and rack of lamb special. Both were delicious. The lamb was the best I ever had; better than what I grill for myself at home. It was served au jus, with small new potatoes and thin baby asparagus. The sauce was very good. The cioppino linguine dish contained clams, mussels, shrimp, and crab meat. Linguine was cooked just right. (The presentation of this dish was not great; see picture.) The house salad is actually pretty special, and the roasted beet salad with pistachios and goat cheese was fantastic. I cannot recommend the bruschetta, it was served on thick toasted bread (or sliced rolls maybe) that were the consistency of croutons. The toppings were not great; the predominant flavor was garlic. We also had the mushroom soup special. My dining partner described it as “very good”, I thought it was just “good”. The soup is created at the table when the server pours the hot mushroom broth into the bowl containing the solid ingredients. Classy! Bread basket is two large freshly baked dinner rolls. Olive oil and two kinds of purees are served with the rolls. A nice upgrade from the olive oil you typically get at Italian restaurants. Strong garlic flavor in one of the purees, and that actually seems to be a theme here – lots of garlic in the dishes. We did not order dessert, and I’m regretting that right now. Based on what I saw on other tables, dessert is better here than what you would find at most other restaurants. Next time I’ll try to save room. Service was professional and friendly, and mostly prompt. This is a place where your server might use a crumber tool on your table cloth between servings. BYOB, parking lot is small, but plenty of on-street parking.

Jun 28, 2023. Out for a birthday dinner at our favorite local restaurant because the food and service are always amazing. Started tonight with the onion brulee stuffed with crab and the perfectly prepared San marzano sauced mussels. A pair of small ceaser salads followed. Our entrees tonight were the filet mignon (supurb) for my wife, while I had the meltingly tender rack of lamb served with barley and fresh vegetables. For dessert, cheese cake with berries and coconut bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. As always, a sublime dining experience with Chef Augusto and staff. Jan, 2023. Do yourself a favor and book a reservation at Augusto's. Easily one of the top restaurants in Bucks County. Tuesday through Thursday you can enjoy a prix fix meal featuring the entire menu. We started the evening with the onion brûlee' and the grilled octopus. They were both beautifully prepared with just the right amount of char on the octopus. This was followed by the salad course. A nice Ceasar salad and the house salad with vinegrette. The Ceasar was enjoyable, but the vinegrette could have used a bit more acid. We enjoyed the filet mignon and the dinner special sea bass with sauce americaine. The filet was meltingly tender with a rich bordelaise sauce and a cloud of potato puree. The sea bass was meaty in the best way with a luxurious americaine sauce. Dessert was included with four choices - we selected berry cheesecake and creme brûlee. We are eagerly looking forward to our next visit.

It was one of the best meals I've had in a long while. We had the escargot special, the onion brulée, beet salad, swordfish special and the veal parm. The Escargot was cooked to perfection, served with a garlic sauce, and was truly delectable. The Onion Brulée was unexpectedly delicious, and the horseradish foam was a very nice accompaniment. The beet salad was served with goat cheese, pistachios, and a sweet basil vinaigrette, and it was everything I wanted and more. Arguably the best dish of the meal. My wife had the Veal Parm, and it was very good as well. The sauce was to die for! I had the swordfish special, served with a caper sauce on a bed of hominy. The swordfish was expertly cooked, with perfect grill marks and char. It was incredibly tender and flavorful and balanced impeccably with the hominy. The textural contrast had me doing my happy food dance. Also, the service was top-notch. It is a BYOB restaurant, so I would definitely bring a bottle of wine with you. All in all, it was truly an amazing experience, and I certainly would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dinner experience!

Last night, my wife and I had an 8 o'clock reservation. We arrived at 7:50. We had to wait a little bit, which was no big deal considering we had arrived early.

A little after 8, the gentleman told us our table was ready. We were taken to our table, and were told the daily specials. My wife decided to go with the scallops, and I decided to go with the halibut special. We also ordered 2 appetizers. The escargot and the grilled octopus.

However, a gentleman came to take our order. I still don't know who our server was, because 3 people came to our table at different times. The gentleman told me that their special wasn't halibut, but Mahi-mahi...... Ok...... I guess I'll get that. That annoyed me. I guess there is no communication within the staff.

While waiting for our appetizers, our candle went out. I asked one of the gentlemen if he could give us a replacement candle. He said ok. But never came back with it.

After waiting 30 minutes, Appetizers came out. They were good. Nothing to rave over.

After waiting another 20 minutes, our salads came out. I had asked the female waitress if I could use the candle left from the table that had just left. She said sure! By the way, the female waitress was by far the most help. The other 2 gentleman were clueless and barely came back to our table to check up on us. It's almost like they forgot about us.

Anyway, the food comes out. One of the gentleman handed me my plate, and said it was the halibut...... I still don't know what I ate last night. I'm not sure if was the halibut, or the mahi-mahi.

We quickly ate our food, because all we wanted to do was leave. We felt like a burden to the staff, which is a very unpleasant feeling. After waiting an additional 20 minutes with empty plates in front of us, I asked if I could just get the bill.

it took 20 more minutes for the bill to arrive. I immediately handed the gentleman my credit card because I didn't feel like waiting another 20 minutes.

I'm very disappointed. We had such high expectations for this establishment because of all the good reviews we've heard. I'm not sure if we came in on the wrong night, but I doubt we will be back.

My suggestion.......
