Love this place and the flavorsā¦never had any customer service issues and have been going 1-2 times weekly for the last couple of months.
Sadly I donāt think I will be returningā¦only because what I believe was a misunderstanding between myself and the manager. I was bringing in a larger container because once youāve added in your mix ins, the ice cream is very soft and partially melted. If you want hot fudge or hot caramel, half of the ice cream is now soup⦠which I totally donāt mind. I like ice cream soup! Except by the time I get to the car and I stick my spoon in it, it spills all over the sides onto my clothes in the car seats. The cups are simply not big enough to contain melted ice cream (though they are adequate when the ice cream is frozen). I was informed that I could not bring in a container for them to put the ice cream into for health reasons. Which I understandā¦itās not even their decision...health regulations. However, during the conversation, it appeared like the manager was insinuating that I was trying to get extra add-ins with that bigger containerā¦. Which I totally wasnāt. I was simply trying to manage a melted ice cream overflow onto my clothes with a larger vessel, etc.

I understand itās probably hard to find people who are older than 18 years of age to work at an icecream shop, but there needs to be an adult overseeing the place. Itās unorganized chaos. Both times I have visited Marble Slab Creamery, I was not greeted upon going inside nor when I came up to the counter. It took a considerable amount of time just to serve me, and when they did they ended up catering to someone who came in after me, to which I asked the customer if she wanted to trade places with me. This last time, my daughter and I stayed at the counter patiently waiting for about 15 minutes. There was nobody before us. A worker was scooping icecream in front of us, however, did not acknowledge our existence or say, āit will be just a momentā or anything. She stayed in front of us for about the 15 minutes we were waiting. She walked away and a black female (sorry I have to name race but that is the only way to identify her) came up and asked if we had been helped. I told her that we werenāt even acknowledged. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI do not like leaving bad reviews. I can usually find something positive. However, this wasn't great. I had a strawberry shortcake sundae. The strawberries were still frozen and the shortcake stale and hard. My dear spouse had a waffle cone, which was also stale. They were out of a number of ingredients she wanted. The service wasn't great. We stood at the counter, while the staff (5 kids) on the ice cream side walked back and forth behind the counter. There was only one other customer getting ice cream, so they weren't making anything. We finally said something to one of the workers, who called someone else to help us. On the other hand there was only one person providing service at the cookie counter, and that service seemed to moving just fine! The owner really needs to get the service and food working well or this town will eat...
