I wasn't going to tell this, but here goes! My family went to Warner Robins to go shopping at several stores there, and we decided to go to Steak 'n Shake for lunch. I ordered the regular steak burger and fries with iced tea to drink. Mom and Dad each had a Frisco Burger with fries, and my brother ordered a Royale Steak burger which has an egg on top! We also ordered a plate of onion rings. After a few minutes the waitress came with a big tray that had all of our plates on it. She handed my brother his, and then she handed mine to me. So I brought the plate across, and the bottom of my plate got caught on the straw in my brother's tea glass. It turned over and spilled, and tea went everywhere! I mean, it covered the whole table. ( I didn't know there could be that much tea in one glass!) We tried to clean it up with the napkins we had, but there was so much of it that we couldn't do it! There wasn't much the waitress could do because she still had the tray with the rest of the plates on it. My plate was right in front of my nose, and I couldn't resist so I ate a handful of the french fries. They were hot and freshly cooked, and they were very good! We asked for more napkins, which they brought, but we still couldn't get it all up. Then I noticed that everyone was staring at me anyway, so I ate another handful of fries! That made them really stare, especially my Mom. It was kind of embarrassing, but those were really good french fries! Then the waitress asked if we would like to move to another table, so she could clean it up, and everybody agreed. This time they put us at a really big table with six chairs!! And they brought my brother another glass of tea, which he kept on the other side of his plate this time! The rest of lunch was pretty uneventful, but the burgers were excellent. The onion rings were absolutely perfect! They would almost melt in your mouth, unlike some restaurants where they really aren't so good. The waitress even came back a couple of times, to see if everything was alright at our table. It was a very good meal! So, don't miss Steak 'n Shake in Warner Robins, where they are friendly even if you're the Clampett family and accidentally cause a disaster with...
Read moreDuring a road trip to Atlanta we stopped by Steak 'n Shake for lunch. We were delighted with our restaurant choice and left satisfied with no complaints whatsoever.
This Steak 'n Shake is a table service diner. Upon entering the restaurant, we were immediately welcomed and shown to a table. Our food server took our beverage and food order and very quickly the food arrived at our table. I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger with Parmesan fries and my wife ordered a bowl of chili. We both were quite pleased with the food. The burger was hot and juicy with plenty of mushrooms and melted cheese. The fries were the shoestring variety and were gently dusted with Parmesan cheese. They were crunchy and quite delicious. My wife reported that her chili was very good as well.
Our food server was very friendly and attentive to our table. When she brought the food she asked if there was anything else we needed, and soon returned to our table to make sure our food was to our liking. She also refilled our beverages in a timely manner, and we were very happy with the level of service she provided.
Both my wife and I visited the restroom before continuing our trip. We found both restrooms to be very clean and properly stocked with supplies.
Since we were traveling, we were pleased that we received our food quickly and did not have to wait for our bill. We were on the road quickly and arrived in Atlanta at the time we planned.
As I said earlier, we left satisfied with no complaints whatsoever. Based on our experience, I can highly recommend this Steak 'n Shake for good diner-style food and...
Read moreThe only reason I'm given my CARRY-OUT visit a 2-star rating instead of a 1-star rating is because the holiday chocolate chip peppermint shake was pretty good BUT I had to wait about 11 minutes after the order went in before I received my shake. During that time of waiting my food portion of my order came out within a reasonable amount of time. Approximately four or five minutes. However I had to wait an additional 7 minutes or so for my milkshake to come and during that time my chicken fingers and seasoned french fries had already cool down enough to make them feel as though you are chewing on an old Huffy bike inner tube. Thank God I had the milkshake to wash that stuff down. I think my dog liked it because she was able to chew on that for much longer than normal.
The point is they shouldn't have brought out the food to me in a bag and make me wait an additional seven minutes or so for my milkshake to come out. So I definitely would not recommend the chicken tenders because that's a loosely use the word. Chicken fingers is a Loosely use the word as well since they are more round and shaped like a puppy paw. But the milkshake was good so that's why I'm given two Stars. The staff was friendly although there were some standing around with nothing to do and as a customer I'm wondering who's making...
