I stopped in tonight to purchase a few bottles of wine for the Holiday. I had a gift certificate. When I handed the gift certificate to the clerk, he immediately handed me an updated gift card, in place of the paper, hand written gift certificate I had. Tells me the total and sends me on my way. I Get Home, and see that I have NO RECEIPT AND !!! I WAS OVER CHARGED! THIS IS MY 2ND TIME GOING TO The Cork & Cap. The first time we purchased 2 bottles of wine and drank them on premises. At NO Time was there a notice from the employee that there is a Cork fee. 😄 I am Well Aware of Cork fees...BUT to charge us $20 in Cork fees is QUITE STINGY AND 1 of them COULD HAVE BEEN WAIVED. 😄🙄😡 THESE PEOPLE ARE JUST OUT TO MAKE A BUCK...CLEARLY!!! GO SPEND YOUR MONEY...
Read moreWhat a great venue tucked away! You can't tell from the outside, but the owners bought the adjoining space, knocked out the wall and built it out. There is a beautiful stage for live music, a kitchen (with great pizza), several tables, a bar with several beers on tap and then a nice selection of beverages in wall coolers. The service was excellent, the two ladies working were very nice. There was a good selection of many styles of beer from several local breweries. I ordered Buckeye Beer, which was very good. It was light with no bitter aftertaste. I drink Coors light normally for domestic beer but these local breweries really make some amazing stuff. A great experience and will be back...
Read moreWe were served a very nice Merlin table wine at a bisstro in Cleveland's Little Italy. Today we went on a search of bottle shops to find it and found ourselves at Cork & Cap. Really liked the place. Nice selection of wines and beers. Pleasant decor. Attractive entertainment and food menu. They didn't have what we were looking for but we were promised a call back from the manager after he checked his vendors. We will definitely go back to check out the live entertainment and special events. Very positive vibes. Will update...
