I will start off this review by sharing that I reserved a table for 20 for lunch at 1pm 10 days in advance. From previous reviews, it seemed that this restaurant successfully handled work groups. They were woefully understaffed and could not handle our group, even though the restaurant had no other diners. The food came out piecemeal across a total duration of 2 hours and 45 minutes. People were hungry, frustrated and missed their afternoon meetings. Food quality was OK, but also subpar for middle eastern restaurants. The bread was not freshly baked from an oven, sandwiches wrapped in tortilla instead of pita, and though we ordered hummus and other dips and were told they would be served with "unlimited" bread, only one round of bread was provided and it was not enough to finish half of the dips. While some people hungrily waited for their entrees, we asked for more bread to tide their appetites and still did not receive any. The service was friendly and the decor was nice, but unfortunately I was very disappointed I took my team here. Afterwards, some of my coworkers remarked that it was the worst business lunch ever! Yikes... I am sad to leave a review like this but felt I should warn others bringing large...
Read moreThe food here is quite good, the menu is vast and offers a lot of options. That said - the service here is truly awful. My team came in for lunch and even though there was only one other group in the restaurant, we waited 20 minutes before anyone came to give us menus or take a drink order.
Things got progressively worse as the waitress tried arguing with me over the food I ordered saying it's not how you properly eat it. To be clear - the ask was for a side of sauce to go with my meal. I've never encountered someone telling me no, I can't have a side of yogurt because it's "not how they eat it in her family". The waitress continued to argue with me until I explained my ethnicity and then she finally dropped it. This is incredibly bizarre and rude behavior. It's totally fine if my food preferences aren't shared with others, but there's no reason to comment on it.
Beyond this - other members of my dining party repeatedly asked for their drinks, refills, more bread, silverware, etc. We either had to ask multiple times in order to get some of the items, or they didn't show up at all.
Again - the food is fine here, but the service is some of the worst I've...
