My husband and I LOVE Richardson's! We go there as often as we can, sometimes bring the kids, sometimes go just the two of us, but always happy with everything when we go! Mike, the owner, always takes time out to come say, "hello" and make sure we are enjoying our meal, Stu, host/waiter/bartender with his endearing Irish brogue, sense of humor and friendly enthusiasm has to be the nicest guy in the tri-state area! And, (I can't remember his name -- i will edit when i do!!) the other bartender/waiter is also super-friendly, attentive, warm, chatty and goes out of his way to make you feel at home! With a staff like that, the fact that their food is absolutely OUTSTANDING really closes the deal! We love going to local places and supporting other small businesses, but we go back to Richardson's again and again because the food is that good and the atmosphere is perfect for us! Favorites of mine include the prosciutto and mushroom risotto (checks off every box), the brussell sprouts (so tasty) and the fish tacos (so fresh). Read moreLet me start with the good. Richardson's has a nice atmosphere and the bartender was very friendly and worked hard. He worked hard because he was the only one covering a full bar and restaurant half filled with patrons. Yet, he kept his wits and cheerfulness. I bartended, and know this is not an easy task.
What disappointed me was the food. I ordered the medium rare beef tenderloin tips, and my wife ordered the mixed greens salad. The tips came out gray and overcooked. I don't know if they broiled or boiled them. There was no color. It was like eating food from a black and white TV show. The vegetable was brussels sprouts and spinach. The brussels were overboiled and had the consistency of hot balls of mush. The salad was skimpy and plain, with lettuce greens and a few chunks of tomatoes.
Richardson's is located right around the corner from where we live. We may give it another shot. Perhaps it was just a bad night and the cook was new or doing it to help out a friend. Hopefully, Richardson's will get a better chef and a few...

The flavors however were enjoyable. I ordered a med rare Lamb burger. She ordered a Med steak Tip. The wait from app to meal was approx 45 min. Delivered to us cold. Room temperature. When this was brought to our servers attention. A sorry or a how can we make this correct was not uttered from the individual. We asked to please have our check.
