Saturday supper crowd, we were asked table or bar my husband said table, we're then seated in the bar only after the waitress stressed how she needed to keep the rotation of tables going in the main room. Strike one. In the bar, no lights on but the string light under the bar counter. They didn't look open or ready to be open. No decor. Just a couple neon beer signs. Tattered seats that were very uncomfortable. Strike two. The menu was printed off just before we arrived, regular paper in a plastic binder, non descriptive items for Asian Cajun/Thai food. Seems legit right? My husband ordered tea that came as clear water. Then got a glass of lemonade in a smaller beer glass? His food, the seafood boil, was not hot. Usually a boil is served steaming hot. It was served in a soup bowl that wasn't much bigger than a cereal bowl. It had one little corn cob and two potatoes and sausage that wouldn't have made a full brat. My food, grilled shrimp, again was not hot. There was zero flavor on the shrimp. The tails were actually cold to the touch. Strike three. The rice was ok, the fries, all nine of them were hot and tasted good. The whole vibe was tired and cheap. If they intend to draw crowds and gain attention, offer some free bread or a starter salad on the zerox menu. Dress up the lame bar, get comfortable seating, I saw another couple squirming in their seats too. Another thing, take the price tags off of the sweetner containers or anything else you put on the tables it's...
Read moreThis is about the third time me go in there. each time I walk into an empty restaurant no waitstaff around at all. I believe we got there around 5 there was a daily menu special posted by the stairs. We picked up our own menu since nobody was there and sat down. when it waits tab did show up my friend ordered something off the menu board that was 9.95. I ordered a orange chicken at was 1035 on the menu. And I order a calamari that was 4.95. Which I pointed out to on the menu to the waiter. When we got the bill there different prices for the food on it. And we just told the prices change at 4 pm. There's nothing to let you don't on the menu board when the special stops and also on the menu there's no hours on either one of them. And no menu was laying on the table waiter saw what we were ordering off of.. So we ended up getting charged about $12 more than what we thought we would be All the way waiter said was she can't change anything on the ticket. a service of calamari first without any napkins forks or salt and pepper. when we got our food we still had to wait for him to bring silverware in napkins. Some of my orange chicken had crust on it some didn't. All In all day dinner was very substandard. And we was the only ones in the place there's no reason service had to be so bad or slow. If you eat there, might double check what your prices are going to be, for what...
Read moreLet me start off by saying that the service and staff was excellent. No complaints there. But being from a major metropolis aka big city, I'm literally sick to my stomach when I see 4 or 5 star ratings for small town restaurants that serve mediocre at best food and try to pass it off as fine dining Cuisine and pass off higher than normal prices for literally a dish you could make at home just as good if not better! Ppl please go to a real fine dining establishment and then do your reviews from there bc you'll definitely have to rewrite your reviews. Now in saying that, I do believe in supporting local businesses. But not when they try to doup me into believing microwaved food has been specially prepared or you pour store brand sauces in my tiny servings and say bon appetit. I'm not that guillable! Now that my spouse has been eating out at real restaurants when we travell to large cities, her opinions have changed too for the better. Her small town upbringing had her, like many of you fooled about what real pizzas, Mexican food and other ethnic food items are supposed to really taste and be cooked like and the difference in portions correlating with price! Shame I say, on some of these Warsaw restaurants fooling small community ppl. I'm sorry, but some of the restaurants here would fail in...
