Color me impressed! Finally, a true on-site brewery that serves a variety of unique and delectable brews in addition to a menu filled with gastronomic delights that won't break the bank! Located within a massive converted mill, this brewpub has an industrial, no-frills, unpretentious atmosphere. And I mean no-frills! Orders are served in plain metal platters. You'll get a plate, no worries! Pint glasses are atypically unadorned by logos, in contrast to other restaurants that that receive free glasses from beer distributors. Menu is eclectic and intended for many mouths (not that one hungry mouth isn't enough for a plate or two... or three!), from fries to flatbreads and sliders to salads. They plan to present seasonal menu choices throughout their (hopefully!) long life, and, have already instituted that policy. What I truly like about this company is that they're trying (and succeeding, at least in my opinion) to provide a TRUE local experience! What I mean is that what they're presenting on your plate is sourced locally as much as possible. Don't bother asking for a Bud Light either, they haven't got anything other than what they (and a few close friends) brew, pretty much right in front of you. You can pick 4, 8, and 16oz (or 4,8,&12 - dependent upon alcohol %). size beers. Prices vary from beer to beer. Easily located across from Warwick Mall, Knight St. is better accessed from the north-facing lanes on Rte.5 (Greenwich ave.) Once on Knight, proceed to Central and the entrance is directly opposite that street. The very nearly microscopic printing on their menus I am happy to say, has been resolved. Currently the mill is experiencing a vast amount of restoration and refurbishment. It will be interesting to see their final vision... out on the patio... behind the mill, as I sip a stellar and unique brew... next to the Pawtuxet river as it meanders its way...
Read moreWhen we walked into this place with 2 kids, I saw the menu and thought we were going to walk out. Everything looked pretentious like it was trying to be fancy while serving regular items like burgers and nachos.
While the menu could use a rewrite, the food was damn good. Some of the best fries and tots I've ever had. One daughter had the pulled pork sandwich which she loved and the other liked the cheeseburger sliders.
The BBQ sauce is amazing with the tots btw. My wife had the nachos. Don't be fooled by the thing that looks like a small tray, it had a ton of nachos on it. My wife didn't even finish it cause it was so big.
Portion sizes were good and the server was very nice. I can't speak much on the beer. I tried their lite beer and another one. And it was just OK. But I did like the 4oz pours for $2/3. It was like a "create my own flight". I only got 2 of them and I just thought that was cool.
We ate inside but there's a neat outdoor seating area where I could see spending a night hanging out of you got some of the comfy lounge seats. Interesting idea.
Does it still look like a pretentious brew pub trying to be soemthing it isn't? Imo, yes. But decor and atmosphere are in the eye of the beholder. The food is legit for adults and kids and the prices were pretty good imo too. And that's what matters. Gluten free options were available as well.
I definitely recommend checking this place out and getting the tots with the BBQ...
Read moreThis is brewery across from the Warwick Mall next door to the Nylo hotel. It's a great place to visit to try some beer and grab some food! The inside of the brewery is quite nice with a nice selection of beer and drinks. There is also a nice outdoor area overlooking the river which is pretty. The menu has a nice variety of food from appetizers, flatbreads, tacos to sliders. We really enjoyed the fried pickles which are not super breaded and nice & crispy. We enjoyed the beer cheese with the pretzel. The margherita flatbread was flavorful and our friend had the fried chicken and waffle sliders which he enjoyed! My husband had the signature wings which he enjoyed too! We enjoyed the hot nashville chicken sliders (pretty mild with a little kick). Our kids enjoyed the cheeseburger sliders with fries. The brownies are pretty good but not super chocolatey in my opinion. My husband enjoyed the crested double ipa. Our friends enjoyed the stouts that they had on tap too! They have some cocktails too that are good along with cocktails! The parking lot can sometimes be crowded but heading inside it usually isn’t overly crowded. I have seen someone bring their dog so it seems to be dog friendly. They also offer a military discount. The staff is also friendly here. They are kid friendly and offer tall high chairs, kids menu, coloring pages and crayons and a...
