I recently visited this store and had a terrible experience that I feel compelled to share. I went in to grab a pair of sunglasses. On the way to check out, we picked up two small snacks for around $10, which is quite a bit for just two small smart sweets. These snacks were prominently displayed at the checkout, so I thought nothing of it.
However, as soon as we opened the snacks while still in the store (walking out), we discovered they were expired! We immediately walked back to the register to address the issue, hoping for a simple return or exchange. The cashier informed us that they couldn't accept the return because it was food.
I fully understand that food items can be tricky to handle, but it’s unacceptable to be selling expired products in the first place! Ten dollars for two small snacks is already steep, and to find out they were outdated is just wrong.
If management happens to read this, please take note: ensure your snacks are not expired before putting them on display. It's a basic expectation for any store, and it seems to be lacking here. This is definitely not the level of service I would associate with Nordstrom standards. I won’t be returning...
Read moreFirstly, I’m not chronic returner. Actually, I hate returns. Their new return policy really is less than desirable. “Late returns that are accepted will be subject to a partial refund of 50% of their original purchase prices. There is returns shipping charge of $9.95 per prepaid shipping label use. First hiccup was on a purchase in OCt 22 that I did not noticed the box said size 7 shoes but it was actually a size 8 and I admit I was very late with the return. (case by case was not applied)and I would have been ok with store credit. I was 47 mins on the phone to make the complaint, I was promised a callback but it never happened. Second time, it was an online order that I was returning at the store on the 31 day and they wanted to issue a store credit. I then was on the phone again promised a courtesy shipping label but never received it. It was just not a pleasant experience at all. At this time, it’s just not worth the hassle anymore. Management was arrogant and cs was not reliable. Sadly to say but I’m done with Nordstroms. For the priced tag, they should offer some flexibility and accommodate the purchases made before the changes were effective. That is...
Read moreMy recent visit to Nordstrom Rack left me with some mixed feelings that I'd like to share. While they do have a good collection of items, I found the organization of the store to be a bit lacking. It was hard to find things easily, and I had to spend extra time searching.
One of the main issues I encountered was the lack of enough staff to handle billing and provide assistance. During busy times, like peak hours, there always seems to be a long line at the billing counter. This meant waiting for quite a while just to pay for my items. It would be great if they could have more staff available to help customers.
Despite these issues, I do appreciate the variety of products they offer. It's just a shame that the shopping experience is hampered by the disorganization and understaffing. I hope Nordstrom Rack considers improving these aspects to make shopping there more enjoyable...
