I ordered takeout, and the food was ready on time. The staff seemed very friendly, which goes a long way in my book. The food, however, was just so-so, allowing even for variation in preparation style from one restaurant to another, and individual taste.
The cabbage in my mu shu pork seemed undercooked... some crispness is good, of course, but this seemed like it might have been put together a bit too quickly. There was so little evidence of wood ear (mushroom) presence in my dish that I think they might have been completely out of them, or very nearly so.
But what seemed most inappropriate was the "pancakes" served with the meal. Traditionally, mu shu (moo shu, or moo shi if you prefer) is served with thin rice pancakes, or crepes. Instead, what was served today was tortillas. Seriously, they were thick, masa-style tortillas. My palate was thrown off with every bite, expecting a burrito with every approach under my nose and getting something different. Very strange, it was.
If they were in fact out of rice pancakes and made an emergency run to the Latino market to cover, I'd certainly have preferred to have been steered to any other of their dishes that are undoubtedly good, based on others' reviews, which I trust are accurate. The only one I completely distrust here is Mr. Chan's: even on a good day, it's hard to think that this might be the best dining experience one will ever have.
Still, it wasn't bad, just unimpressive. I'd give them another try, but would order something other then...

Almost like the discarded pieces left after one cleans a raw chicken breast before its cooked.......and the chicken wings also tasted like nothing and resembled more of a cheap order of chicken wings one might get from a cheap gas station.......wouldnt recommend it all & wont...
Read moreI don't do reviews, but felt the need now We used to go to Red Rice which we loved but sadly they closed. Looked for a new Asian restaurant that would be as good, Asian Dynasty is fantastic. Great food, reasonable prices and the nicest people you could ever meet..Eric and Landy are the owners, and set a great atmosphere for their guests along with the whole staff. David the bar guy is super, and all this comes extra with the most fantastic freshly made food Seriously, if you don't try this restaurant you are missing out on superb asian food. BTW, it's very nondescript from the outside but don't judge a book...
