I found Fred Astaire Dance Studio Warwick through Groupon and a series of trial and error looking for the right fit for a dance studio. I have tried many other dance studios, but Fred Astaire Dance Studio Warwick was the only studio that felt like a perfect fit. The dance studio offers several levels of ballroom dance for smooth, rhythm and contemporary styles. Each instructor brings forward their passion and love of dance with every lesson and group class, they love watching each student grow in confidence, creativity and skill as each lesson progresses. The studio provides a warm and welcoming environment for individuals of all different skill levels and personalities. I remember growing up watching movie musicals and wishing that I had the finesse and charisma that each dancer had. I love coming to Fred Astaire Dance Studio because I have found a community that I can call home, and a new family that is so supportive, helps one another and is full of fun and loving characters. As a very reserved and quiet individual around strangers, I have found that the studio has helped me to rebuild my confidence and creative side that I thought I had lost. With each group class, dance lesson, showcase and competition, I have found that my new family continues to grow in team spirit, love and support. I've loved my experience with Fred Astaire! They really are the friendliest dance studio in town! All of the instructors are all acclaimed professional dancers who have preformed on television and international competitions - AND - they are also incredibly patient and skilled instructors.

I was amazed by how quickly our beautiful and talented instructor, Rusina, taught us our first routine!! Rusina has a great sense of humor, she is very professional and experienced, and she is such a sweetheart. Her confidence and poise reminds me a bit of Jennifer Lawrence - approachable yet sassy and funny!! On top of her great personality, Rusina has exceptional teaching skill. When I dance under her guidance, I feel empowered, as if I had been a dancer all my life (which is not the case!) She is warm and unassuming, and her advice comes in the form of gentle and clear instruction that is easy to follow and leads to quick improvements.

Originally, my fiancé and I came to Fred Astaire to learn the rumba for our first dance, and after two lessons, we were hooked! When you dance, you grow such a strong connection with your partner, and it has become an integral component of our relationship. It certainly helps that the instructors make me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I feel like no one is watching (even though we have a coach guiding us every step of the way!!)

This studio has been a fantastic experience! All of the staff love dancing and their love for it is something they have made to be contagious for everyone who enters. The staff's approach to teaching is second to none. They are thorough, thoughtful, kind, structured, strong and consistently demonstrate the capacity to perform, teach, and simultaneously get their students to perform, while always reaching mutually set goals. As a musician and teacher myself, I can say this is no small feat! My teacher, Emily, has been super supportive and instrumental in getting me to set and achieve goals I never would have thought possible when I entered the studio a few years ago. In the midst of the dancing....everyone at this studio are among the warmest people I encounter in any given day I have gone for a class. In the past few years of my having been a student at Fred Astaire Warwick, it is always the case that I leave the studio feeling better than when I entered. Simply, this is only because of the energy the staff creates and attracts. I would highly recommend Fred Astaire Warwick to anyone curious about dancing and or looking to make their own lives richer!
