This one was a saga so read on if you dare but beware that there are twists and turns along the bump-infested road of our story, my friend.
P1: The Phone Call Attempt As the phone rang and I awaited, with bated breath, to be greeted by my ever-aspiring waitstaff member, I could barely contain myself in my excitement from knowing what tantalizing treats and mouthwatering provisions may be thrust upon the plate of my destiny. After the fifth…NARY….seventh ring of the phone, I was greeted with such great enthusiasm in the “hello” that was offered as an introduction between myself and my newly found companion, in my heroes journey. Alas, after a short but sweet silence, I was asked “what do you want” to which I replied “I would like to place an order for takeout”. After a shaky yet brave “ok” from the other end of the phone, I began to order the first item on my extremely well thought out and carefully curated list of cuisines that would soon fulfill me in my quest of feeding 5 people. Once I was done ordering that first item, I was HALTED and asked for my customer loyalty number and name. Alas, I was unprepared for this battle and DID NOT have a customer loyalty number! But, praise the heavens that I was at least equipped with my name to unlock the next level of our quest. Again, I repeated the first item of my order to which I was met with an uneasy yet curious silence. I waited a moment then was asked to repeat the item….again. After repeating this cycle twice more, I thanked my companion for his part in my journey but offered that I shall tally forth alone in an effort to allow him to rest his wary head. He agreed and we parted ways. I did leave him with the knowledge that he shan’t worry for I would be using the great app of BJ’s to be ordering my meal. He concurred and our paths were no longer intertwined….or so I thought.
P2: The Ordering Process This wasn’t bad. The app is straight forward and I was able to get through it pretty quick.
P3: The Fateful Meeting On this cold Fridays eve in January, I arrived at the step of our near final stage of my quest. Upon it’s doorway stood a sign which read “BJ’s” and inside were the townspeople who were responsible for delivering me to the goods at which I had been charged $155 gold (including the 18% tip). I’d like to note that one does not easily come by $155 gold in this day and age. Many dragons were fought and hunts away from the castle were had to obtain this stash of shekels. However, I found this to be a fair trade in the current market as the promised spoils would be plentiful and filling. Alas, this would sadly not be how this story ends…
P4: The Castle As I returned to the castle, from my journey, to a warm welcome and eager court who were awaiting their supplies, I was greeted with great adoration. I henceforth and quickly broke out my plunder and began to disperse items amongst the crowd. However, in a fateful and terrible twist, we were to soon learn that the “Santa Fe Salad” which was supposed to come with chicken and other plentiful vegetables from the gardeners personal crop, was only a box of wilted lettuce and a few kernels of corn. Upon learning that the food was also mislabeled, we soon sent word to the Brewhouse of BJ’s that we were unsatisfied with our transaction and would like to send for a proper salad, as promised. Although this required an additional journey and resources, I set back out to complete my quest and earn the great heroes reward.
P5: The Return When I returned back to this level to complete the required tasks, I was met with a less than favorable greeting and then left to wait while the system must have been loading. When I received my newly updated supplies, I retreated back to the castle post-haste as to try to recover the remainder of my $40 prime rib which had sadly not been left by the fire. When I returned to the castle, with the majority of what was promised on this salad, I believed my journey had almost come to completion until I realized that the soup which was part of my meal was also not...
Read moreLet me start off with my experience first entering this establishment. Upon entering the restaurant the hostess greeted us, told us our table for 6 was ready and simply pointed us towards the direction of our seats. Which is odd because it was as if she was telling us to seat ourselves. Okay. No problem. We found our seats, several minutes pass and a waitress approaches us and says " Was there anything else you needed ? " Of course confused we stated " ugh we just sat down, and haven't been helped yet ". She merely looked surprised and continued to proceed to another table. The rest of our party arrived, two disabled woman and two other staff members. The hostess stood at her station, noticed them entering the establishment backwards while trying to pull in the wheelchair carrying my resident. Half way through the threshold she asked " Do you need help ? " At this point we said " No thank you " since we were at this point already inside. We were pointed towards the direction of the rest of our party. Made ourselves comfortable, about 20 min in a waiter finally approached and introduced himself as John L.
He took our drink orders and then proceeded to take our lunch order. We tried to be as thorough as possible due to a gluten allergy that one of our residents had. When the food arrived. We had asked for a few corrections to be made to one of the beverages that needed to be placed in a child's cup for safety reasons and for other utensils in which the waiter they're proceeded to bring however seemed irritated upon requesting. It took several prompts in order to remind the waiter of what we had asked for that he had forgotten to bring Towards the end of our meal we had asked for two to go boxes as well as the checks. We advise the waiter that the checks needed to be split up four ways. 1 meal, 1 meal, 2 meals, 2 meals. Pretty easy in my opinion. After having to repeat ourselves four times because he seemed slightly confused, he walked away to provide us with the checks. Another 20 minutes goes by and he finally appears with the checks and realizes that he messed up on two of them. We recorrected him again explaining how they needed to be divided and whose meal goes on which check. He wants again. Walked away for about 12 minutes, then returned again with the checks this time. Attempting to charge everyone for one item that only one person ate. when expressing that that was incorrect. He brought over a manager who didn't seem to give two s** about the situation and simply told him to figure it out. Change was distributed incorrectly, several attempts to help him figure out his error and at this point he seemed more irritated. No to go boxes were ever brought to the table. A staff member ended up requesting it from another waitstaff member who just so happened to be walking by. I completely understand how hard it is to be a wait staff member because I myself have done it for 15 years. However, I have never experienced such poor service as I did today. For a day that meant so much to my two residents, it seemed as though the staff as well as management couldn't care less about any small accommodations they needed. Incorrectly charging everyone in our party for items they never ordered them arguing with us about it being correct. Management coming over to the table and simply saying, " yeah this is confusing,...
Read moreWow where to begin! I have only written 1 other review in my life and that was the time I went to Subway and they, ironically had no bread. Being in the business for over 30+ years I just couldn't hold myself back from writing this. My son just turned 21 and he wanted to go and try BJ's Brewhouse so we thought we decided to go. We arrived Sunday afternoon around 3pm, there were 3 of us,the place was maybe 1/4 full not real busy. We sat at a Hi-top in the bar and waited maybe 10 minutes to be greeted, when our waiter came to the table we ordered our drinks and waited about 5 minutes for them. (Not to bad I Guess). We started with the Best Beginnings app combo, our waiter did say it would take a little while for this to come out because there is so much on it. We waited about 40 minutes and looked at the dish trying to figure out what on the dish takes so long to prepare. The spinach dip was good, but the rest was not. The Avocado egg-rolls tasted like they were prepared in a barn, very bizarre. The buffalo chicken was over-cooked and dry. The mozzarella sticks were the frozen kind. The dish was definitely not worth the $19.95 they charge for it. For lunch we decided to go with the Tuna Salad, The Bison Burger and Fish and Chips. Seems pretty easy! The Tuna salad was very fishy we did not eat it. It looked nothing like the picture in the menu. The burger was suppose to be medium-rare but came out well done and not even close to what the picture looked like. It was a very small 5-6 oz. over cooked dried out piece of meat. Did not eat that either. Now for the best part, my son ordered the Fish n Chips at the same time we ordered our food came out 15 minutes after my girlfriend and I got our order. We had a friend join us but we convinced him not to order anything to eat just have a beer. The beers were cold and very good but it did take awhile between orders for us to get them. We were not impressed with this place at all. The GM came over to talk to us and we voiced our concerns and pretty much told him everything that happened but we really don't think he cared at all. We weren't looking for anything for free just maybe (We are sorry , we are still trying to work the kinks out). If this happens at my restaurant we do our best to make sure everyone leaves HAPPY! A simple, can we get you a dessert or maybe a free app or round of drinks would have been nice but we left with a very sour taste and not sure if we will go back. Maybe just sit at the bar and order a beer and have chips & Salsa I don't think they can mess that up. We spent $185.00 dollars and left hungry and disappointed. MOD needs some training in customer service.
Hope you work the kinks out!
Good...
