Social House is truly a not-so hidden gem. From the ambiance to the service, food and drinks... WOW. Every little detail is accounted for, every time. Full disclosure: I work here. But who better to hear a review from, than a very honest staff member with nothing to gain?
The venue itself is absolutely stunning. The decor fits a certain theme (I won't spoil it for you), but it's evident throughout the space and the intentionally chosen wallpaper, light fixtures, and overall interior design. Inviting, intimate, warm and, well...incredibly sexy. Speak-easy vibes. Not a TV in sight. Now THIS is a night out. Best part? You don't have to go to Providence to experience it.
Let's talk drinks. Strong? Yes. Delicious? Yes. Each cocktail on the menu is different (and there's quite a few), so there's no reason not to find something you like. Pick your poison, and your server will help guide you. My personal favorites are the Banana-Rum Old Fashioned, which pairs PERFECTLY with the Pork Belly Bites (we'll get to that later), the Better Than MSC Espresso Martini, and (not on the menu), but their Hot 'N Dirties are to die for. Blue cheese olives. Mhm. If you're a Hot 'N Dirty, or even just a Dirty Martini girl, look no further.
The moment you've been waiting for: the food. Shareable bites, including a Charcuterie Board full of only the best meats, cheeses and fixins', Pork Belly Bites, gourmet Deviled Eggs that rotate weekly, Sausageballs, and as of recently, warm Chili Roasted Cashews. I'm highlighting here. These are a few of my favorite things.
Looking for something more substantial? Try the Fig and Prosciutto or Mushroom and Onion flatbread. You won't be disappointed.
If you're craving some sweet treats, order the Dessert Board. It's quite literally a charcuterie board for desserts. A little taste of everything including cheesecake, macaroons, cookies, etc. YUM.
Last, but certainly not least, the service. Two words: door man. That's right. If you're headed to Social House on the weekend, or for a private party, expect to be greeted by a dapper dude at the door. The service starts there. As you walk in, you'll be kindly seated by a host or hostess. Fancy. Next, your server or bartender will introduce themselves, and get the party started. Attentive, helpful, friendly and enthusiastic. We know service, and we do it well.
If you're not sold by now, you never will be.
Come EXPERIENCE Social House. You'll be...
Read moreWe finally got in to experience Social House and we were having such a great time! Our drinks were delicious, our baked mac and cheese deviled eggs were awesome, and our server was amazing. The decor and vibe were awesome. We are locals and frequent many establishments similar to this. I liked it so much I had already planned to reach out later to see if I could book my husband's 50th birthday party here. That is until we were treated like garbage from the owner. He came over to our table in such a brash way and asked us to leave because he had a party of 6 waiting for a table. Now, mind you we were sitting at a two-seater with a coffee table between us and our friend who had joined us was sitting on an ottoman. We spent ALOT of money there and had just discussed ordering another round of drinks and more appetizers. We were shocked. Our server came back to check on us and he noticed right away our tables demeanor had changed. We explained what his boss had done, and he apologized and said there must be some misunderstanding. He went and spoke to him. The owner returned again only to reiterate he needed our table and that he's sorry we don't understand how it works here! Our server again checked in and we told him we needed our check and left immediately. At the very least if he cared, he could have offered us to move over to the bar area and politely explained why instead of just point blank asking us to leave. We were not having any issues. We were not behaving in any way that would require him to ask us to leave. There is no other excuse he had IMO, other than he wanted to make more money with a bigger table. What he didn't realize is that may have become our new go to close to home and that may have been a good business opportunity for a 50th birthday party but because of how he treated us we will not...
Read moreWe had our staff holiday event at The Social House, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! From the moment we arrived, Paul, one of the owners, and his team went above and beyond to make the night truly special. The space itself was amazing—relaxed, private, and so thoughtfully decorated. The hanging birdcage chandeliers and stunning wall murals added to the perfect lounge-like ambiance! The service was impeccable, their team was always available and made sure everyone was comfortable. The mix of stationary and passed food kept everyone mingling, and the drinks were a fun conversation starter as people shared their favorites. All their food is made in house and the charcuterie board with homemade dips was a stunning centerpiece, and the passed hors d’oeuvres were a hit—especially the amazing chicken and waffles, sausage balls, and crispy eggplant strips. The flatbreads, made with homemade dough, were out of this world, and the warm cookies were the perfect sweet touch to end the night. Every bite was unforgettable! Every guest had something positive to say about the atmosphere, service, and overall vibe. Thank you again to the entire team for creating such a memorable night. I can’t recommend The Social House enough—it’s the perfect venue for any celebration or simply a night out with good company, delicious shareables, and...
