Cafe Del Sol — Restaurant in Washington Township

It's a hit or a miss. I'll start with the positive. Bao sliders and nachos are very good. Unfortunately we ordered a five cheese pizza tonight and it was horrible. We were under the assumption that it was just like any pizza with red sauce and five cheeses on top. I thought maybe I had made a mistake and it had stated white pizza but when I looked back on the menu, it did not say white pizza. I had stated that to our waitress but she just stared at me and said absolutely nothing. I even googled five cheese pizza and the first ingredient is tomato sauce. I figured this, because i have ordered this type of pizza in the past at other establishments and it's always came with red sauce. Also to mention is, there were no seasonings on the pizza. It was like a clump of cheeses with garlic on thin crust. We ended up taking the pizza home and my daughter and I got some marinara, added our own seasonings, and slapped it in the oven so we could at least try to enjoy it since it was overpriced. We spent 74 dollars, not including the tip we gave and wanted a nice evening as it is my Mother's birthday. Thankfully she said her food was decent. I'm not sure I want to go to this establishment due to the menu appearing to be false advertising and it appears that some of the staff did not care. I also want to add that I was not cruel or belligerent to anyone in the establishment. I was calm and stated my complaints, however did not feel heard. I do not recommended. Wow! What an experience I just had with Cafe del Sol! I put in an order using their website for delivery. When it was about 15 minutes past the time it was supposed to be delivered, I called them. They told me that it was being delivered through DoorDash, so it was DoorDash's problem and I needed to come get the pizza. I called DoorDash and because I did not order through DoorDash and they said it's not their problem because it works through the merchant. I went to pick up the pizza. I was told again that it's my problem because it was DoorDash even though I did not use DoorDash and the owner was there and he said he just started using them. If they had problems, they were going to quit and I said but that doesn't solve the problem that I had to come get my pizza 40 minutes after I was waiting for delivery. And he said, well, tough, and I said, well, with that, you've just lost my business. And he said, good! So I just want everybody to know what kind of business Cafe Del Sol is. First bad experience Ive had at Cafe Del Sol and unfortunately it was bad enough I don't think I'd return in the future. We arrived after being seated our drink orders were taken followed by our food orders, this sadly was the last our wait staff would check on us for over 45 mins. There were people showing up after us who were getting their food before we did, we had only ordered 2 kids spaghetti meals, a small five cheese pizza and a cuban panini so I don't feel our order was complicated. After the long wait our food finally arrived at the table, it was good but they gave my wife a cheesesteak pizza instead of the five cheese that she ordered, by this time we were tired and did not want to wait any longer so she ate what was brought to the table. We were never offered refills on our drinks , my young daughter spilled her drink we were never offered extra napkins to clean it up, the worst part was no apology for the long wait, no updates from our wait staff, nothing.
