The staffs are extremely friendly. I absolutely adore the place. But I have to say I was disappointed because I had high hopes to be impressed by their sandwich bagel, but I was let down.
The bagel itself felt fresh and had a nice texture and tasted good. The sandwich bagel however is really poorly made. It had like 2 tiny pieces of salmon chunks, and literally hardly any lettuce! The bits of lettuce that was there did not feel fresh because it was so soft and not crispy at all. Honestly, if you need to charge a few dollars more for a delicious sandwich bagel filled with more protein and crispy lettuce, just do it. Because sacreficing quality for price is not worth it in the long run.
I have had fantastic New York bagels and decent Seattle bagels and their bagels was NY quality, but their sandwich bagel was near the bottom of the rankings. Also, the cookies are alright, but tend to be a bit on the crispier side - would be nice to be warned first since some people prefer...
Read moreOk, I rarely call my bagel order "a sandwich", but this was A SANDWICH! And I say that in the best of ways - I ordered the Sun City with local bacon and I changed the bagel type to the maple salt and pepper. So, it's really a sandwich inside a sandwich. The bagel is the first layer of sandwich, then they "sandwich" a generous helping of multi-folded egg with yummy bacon and oozy cheese (top and bottom layers)! Sooo good. I ate half of it there and took home the rest for my lunch- as good room temp as it was hot. My husband got an everything bagel with whitefish salad (die-hard New Yorker, what can I tell you?) He was pleased but thought the whitefish salad was creamier and less chunky than a typical New York style. I bought a bag of their coffee beans which I haven't brewed yet but am getting a kick out their Miami style branding. This is a deli that appreciates good food and a healthy...
Read moreA few months ago I visited from Las Vegas and I was absolutely shocked after devouring my first bagel. Sad to say that I was only in town for three days. I ended up visiting two of the three days and on the second day I made the most out of this visit. I got two plain bagels with cream cheese then I had the Cadillac bagel, which was to die for and lastly I had a breakfast bagel with pastrami in it. I don’t know what was in it that was like sweet and sticky. I’m guessing it was a spicy honey and my God was it delicious. I wanted to buy a couple extra so I can bring home with me, but they did not make the plane flight back home. Safe to say that my experience at At call your mother deli was above and beyond my expectations. I will definitely be back when I’m in town!
All the staff members were very nice, and while the place was extremely busy, both times I visited the line moved...
