Stead Park — Attraction in Washington

The Friends of Stead Park are truly the heartbeat of community engagement, and their efforts during the DC Pride Block Party were nothing short of incredible. From start to finish, their organization, communication, and passion for creating a safe, vibrant, and inclusive space were clear in every detail.

A special thank you to Vashti and Randy, who went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcomed and supported. Their dedication and warmth made a lasting impression on our team. It’s clear they care deeply about both the LGBTQ+ community and the overall joy and success of the event.

Stead concrete is more accurate Unless you are there early at 7am don’t even bother if you are trying to go for a walk/jog On week days ,until noon the park is taken by different schools. Afternoons and weekends the park is occupied by soccer,softball…teams ,gets crowded It’s impossible to be at the park evenings or weekends unless it’s july 4th I live across the street for 15 years , I was excited about the construction thought it’ll open more space ,green space but very sadden by the progression -more concrete ,steal & glass coming.
