CAVA — Restaurant in Washington

I'll start out by saying that Cava is my absolute favorite fast casual restaurant. Everything tastes so fresh and authentic, and for me it gives me a delicious, healthy meal at a reasonable price. Every time I've gone there, to any Cava, the food is always fresh and tasty. Not one bad meal ever in more than 5 years of going there.

This Cava also has a great outdoor space.

This Cava in Tenleytown is my neighborhood Cava. All the staff are super friendly and eager to help you out. Just today, I went in to get my usual greens bowl to go. I got to the register to pay for my order and scanned my barcode for loyalty. The cashier, Valerey, told me that I had a birthday reward... a free dessert cookie or brownie. I told her I couldn't take it because I'm pre-diabetic and can't eat a lot of sweets. She comped my bowl instead, since I couldn't take the reward, which was so unexpected and thoughtful of her. This place is totally inconsistent and I don’t think well run. Delivery is often cold and does not have dressing. You ask for x2 dressing on delivery and get no dressing. Even In the store it’s hit or miss a bit. The meatballs were cold last time I ate in store. They just are not paying attention. I’m hoping management starts managing. Last time I was there both bathrooms had no soap or paper towels. It’s still COVID folks and if there is no soap how are staff washing there hands when they work? Not a good sign. It was 3 in the afternoon. Wish they would fix.

I scheduled a pick up on Thursday, around 5:20 and the man at cashier named fredy i believe, was rude and made me uncomfortable. I asked him for the name and I saw that they were busy, and told him to take his time. He proceeded to tell his other coworkers to hurry up which I didn’t have a problem with waiting, but that made me very uncomfortable hearing a man talk to a woman like that, i feel like there should at least be sum respect within the kitchens. The back lady, which I know that she is the CEO of that store because I’ve talked to her plenty of times!, just sat there and let him talk to that lady like it felt very unprofessional.
