Mayflower Chinese Food — Restaurant in Washington

Sorry to say, but this restaurant has just lost my business. I called to inform them about an order I had placed. I order and extra serving of protein in a $10.00....and ended up paying $18 for one dish (crazy right). I even tipped fairly. When I received my order, there was no additional protein. How did I know? Because I have ordered this meal without the additional protein and figured it wasn’t enough for me. Did I call and complain? No. I just figured the next time I order, I will just add additional protein.

Back to the issue. I called to let them know that perhaps they didn’t prepare my order well the woman picked up the phone and laughed at me to a coworker. I could hear them talking and laughing. She asked him if he fixed my meal correctly and of course he said yes and that was all she needed. She told me I was wrong and that he did put extra protein. When I called, before telling her the problem, I told her I simply had a comment. I explicitly stated that i was NOT looking for free food or a refund. I used to work in a restaurant so I know how annoying it is to receive those calls.... anyway...I was never rude with her, not did I raise my tone. And she still laughed and talked amongst her coworkers while I talked.

At that point, I was very upset, but I remained polite. I informed her that she lost my business and she did not seem to have a care. Unfortunately this restaurant does not care about its customers. It only cares about your money. Once they have that, they will quickly...

The last two times I ordered from here I paid online and included tips, when the food was delivered I had my thirteen year old son go downstairs to meet the driver and collect the food. Both times the driver yelled at my son the first time for asking if duck sauce was in the bag and this time because my phone died, I put my phone on the charger and as soon as it turned back on it told me there was five missed calls for two minutes ago and called the number back immediately twice and there was no answer. My son ran downstairs to see if the food was left in the building vestibule since the driver did not answer the phone. When my son got downstairs the driver yelled at him for not picking up the phone, my son apologized and told him that our phone died and we called back immediately several times and there was no answer, he continued to yell at my son about not picking up the phone and not trying to hear what he had to say. Thankfully a kind neighbor came into the building and witnessed him hounding my son and told him not to talk to a child like that. Due to a recent surgery I am bedridden for 6 months and unable to go up and down stairs for this reason. I like the food however I cannot tolerate this despicable behavior towards my son, who has to help take care of me when he gets out of school and still get good grades. We will not order from here again and when I’m able to walk in the near future I will pay the restaurant a visit to tell them why they lost valuable...

Food is ok and service sucks! My husband and I were loyal customers who ordered food often. However, tonight I ordered dinner online and never received it. I called the restaurant and the lady took my number and said the manager would call back but she never did. I ended up having to go to the restaurant to inquire about my order. At the restaurant, the Lady acted as though I didn't even order from the restaurant. I told her what I ordered and she basically said maybe I ordered from another location saying, "I don't have your order" and in a rude kind of way. I showed her the confirmation number. Only then did she realize that I did place an order. No apology was given for assuming that I didn't order from the restaurant. She then said that door dash picked it up and that I had to call door dash to sort it out. I didn't mind that I had to reach out to door dash, it was just the way I was treated and with no apology and my call was never returned. I will never be ordering again from this restaurant just based on the principle...
