The cashier here was very aggressive for no reason after she rung up the wrong bagel for my order, and she tried to directly blame her fault onto me when I went to correct my order. Also, the bagel didn't even really taste that good.
For context, there was no morning rush or anything this morning when I asked for my order of a lox bagel. It wasn't a custom order or anything, and I was really craving a lox bagel. I noticed that the order on the screen was incorrect and for a hummus bagel instead. So I repeated my order to make sure she got it right, and she said she got it. So I thought the order on screen was a glitch that showed what the person before me had ordered. But just in case I checked my order after getting it, and it was in fact wrong.
So I go up to the counter to say that she got my order wrong as I asked for the other bagel. Immediate mood switch from the lady as she gets very defensive. She goes on to say that's the right bagel because I confirmed it’s what I wanted twice. I repeated that no, I asked for the salmon bagel. I'm not a confrontational person at all so I was in shock and kinda getting anxious that she was being so rude. I never raised my voice and simply bluntly ended the conversation by saying, you rung it up wrong. She huffed at me and went to go complain to her coworker. Thankfully, her co-worker stepped in and apologized and got my order right, but I never got an apology from the cashier and I just assume she wanted to bully me into accepting her mistake or something. Maybe she had a bad day? I don't know. Honestly, I’m glad her co-worker made my bagel as I was very much afraid that she was going to spit in my food or something from how she was trying to bully me and lie to my face about my own...
Read moreI rarely write negative reviews, as I just feel bad about doing it. Enough people take to Yelp/Google Reviews just to hate, that I feel like there's no need for me to do it as well. I also just don't like writing bad reviews in general. It doesn't light a fire in me.
However, there are times where I get such a bad meal that I can't help but get inspired. Yesterday, at Bullfrog Bagels, was one of those times. I got off the 4 hour train from New York, hungrier for a bagel than Zion for some Fish Gumbo.
I stopped at Bullfrog before leaving the station, and ordered a Bacon, Egg, and Avocado sandwich ($12). I went and sat at an open table outside of Shake Shack to dig in.
When I opened my bagel, I literally laughed out loud in disbelief. As I peeled back the red and white checkered wrapping, I saw maybe 1 piece of bacon, half an egg, and a thin layer of avocado spread over a small, unappetizing bagel. It looked like one of those bagels you can buy in bulk at a Walmart.
I'm fine with mid food, but when it's expensive and a mouse sized portion, I get sad. I feel like I just got ripped off.
I understand this is truly my fault for getting a bagel without doing any research, but some times I just like to live life by feel. I just like to sail with the wind. It gives me a small dose of freedom.

Read moreExtremely disappointed again. I didn’t post the first encounter but I must post the second time attempt. Ticket #65 1 X BEC w/ Everything Bagel. Feb 25, 2025 this morning. I paid $9.90 for the tiniest bagel I have ever seen. It was like a mini bagel from London. I was so disturbed when I received my half of the bagel…I opened it to late! My coworker ate hers before I saw it and we of course split the bagel. She thought this is how a bagel should look. I told her NO Incorrect. If I knew I would have walked right back and got another one. I want my money back for this tiny mini bagel! Of all bagels to choose in the stash of bagels!!! Y me! I’m from NY and expected a delicious BEC bagel!!!! I’m on fire this morning and can’t go back b/c I work in healthcare and busy with patients!!! The bagel again is the size of my tea bag!!!! I mean...
