This restaurant is located at the Embassy Suites/Hilton Club Hotel. It is an open concept restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. The first night we went, the service was excellent. So much so, that we decided to eat there the next night too. However this night was much busier and while we had the same server, she was spread very thin. My steak came out first, then 5 min later, our appetizer and my son’s drink, and my son’s chicken strips and fries weren’t served for 10 min after my steak!! How does that even happen? She was so busy, we never saw her again until we needed the check. Our experiences on each day were so vastly different. I felt this was unacceptable restaurant service at such a wonderful hotel. As for the food, it’s overpriced for what you get but I noticed this seems to be the theme in DC. My son got a bowl of spaghetti off the kids’s menu @ $12. It came with no bread or sides. My husband got a chicken sandwich and fries which he said was very good. I got the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. First let me say, the fettuccine was absolutely delicious, despite not having any roasted red peppers like the description said on the menu. With that said, I was very unhappy that I spent an extra $9 on the grilled chicken which was not good at all. In fact, I picked it all out. I recommend skipping the chicken. The Alfredo was $21 with the chicken being an additional $9. Again, there was no bread or sides. Some broccoli on the side would have complimented it greatly. And please serve pasta with some sort of bread. The second night, we ordered Buffalo wings at $17 but were served the Mamba wings instead. They were really good though. My son ordered chicken strips off the kid’s menu and said they were good. I ordered a Ribeye steak at $42. It was just okay, definitely not worth $42. I’ve had much better Ribeye for way cheaper. The mashed potatoes, while a very small portion, were very tasty though. My take away would be, if you are staying at the hotel and don’t want to go out and it’s not busy, go ahead and eat here. But do not expect to be wowed. If you are not staying at the hotel, do not go here, there is much better food elsewhere. This restaurant has the potential to be great. The hotel it’s in is wonderful and beautiful. But they need to get more servers so they can give the kind of service we received the first night we came. Also, the food quality needs to be much better, especially at your price point. Also, if you are staying at the hotel, go during the evening happy hour, and you can enjoy hors d’oeuvres and free drinks, while you wait for your food.

This is the hotel restaurant within the embassy suites. It’s a very airy open seating area with a bar serving cocktails, wine and about 5 beers on tap. Went with a Vienna lager that was perfect to wash down our appetizer of buffalo wings which came out very quickly, were hot, juicy and very flavorful. It’s $17 for a plate of around 10 but given that they were cooked to perfection I was ok with the price. Hubby ordered the Alfredo with chicken he needed more sauce so asked for extra and they brought it out in a small bowl no problem. I went with the shrimp tacos which were excellent, 3 plump fresh shrimp with this incredible pineapple slaw with a house sauce that was a perfect compliment to the slaw. I’ve had a lot of shrimp tacos in my life and these were up there in top 5 category. Our waitress was very attentive checking on us and clearing out plates as needed. Finished off with their house cheesecake that was very light and tasty and got it to go so forgot to grab a pic before devouring it in our room. I know from reviews others have had unfortunate experiences with the food here but we were very pleased with our meal and would definitely come back.

Ordered the wings - half saucy mumbo, half dry rub old bay. Good flavor, the chicken was not too dry. The old bay was quite salty. The veggies on the side was not fresh looking - celery sticks were a bit floppy. The caesar salad with salmon was decent. The server was very friendly, but overall service was slow during dinner when it's busy. Get a drink at the bar across the floor; the bartenders are pretty quick!

I had an amazing stay thanks to the incredible staff! From the moment I arrived, the customer service was top-notch. Donitta greeted me with such warmth and made the bar and food experience amazing!. Josh the head chef was so kind and even came out to check on the food quality and made sure we were happy with our meal. Kayla and Rachelle went above and beyond to make sure the drinks were made to perfection and that I was taken care of.

It’s rare to find a great place to eat where every staff member is so genuinely kind and attentive. Because of Donitta, Josh, Kayla, Rachelle, my stay was smooth, relaxing, and enjoyable from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent...
