Me and some colleagues opened up our Polestar Space on L St in July and were looking for a low-key coffee shop to claim as our primary. We have Peets, Joe the Juice, and others surrounding our building. We went with Gregorys Coffee for is low-key atmosphere, drink selections, and selections of quick bites, hot food, and baked goods. Food is premade and is distributed from Gregorys Coffee HQ in NY. Very delicious and easy on the stomach in the morning. Service is outstanding. My only complaint is placing a mobile order for pick-up during busy hours. My order always seems to be ready 15 minutes after the original 'Ready-by Time' so in total 20 minutes. This goes for small, medium, or large orders. I waited 12 minutes after the ready time for a baked oatmeal. I'm not always on a time crunch but seems to happen more when I am and is sometimes inconvenient. I only come back because the service is outstanding and they're apologetic with wait times. According to the mobile app I've spent $250 in two months and currently ranked as a 'Hot Shot'. The mobile app is perfect for rewards and free stuff. I can get a free bag of coffee now. A dedicated person for mobile order might help get orders out quicker and unclutter the pick-up corner. I hope it gets better. Great shop overall, just expect to wait a little longer for mobile orders and...

Atmosphere: great, location is very convenient, suitable for working on a laptop, reading, small gatherings, etc.
Food: very good
Coffee: asked for it a certain way, but the barista who handled my request decided to not listen and make it the way they think it should be made, despite me notifying them twice.
There were two emplyees: A young man who was professional and warm in handling customer requests and responding to different incidents, which was very appreciated. This is a five star review because of him.
Another young person who needs more training on listening and delivering customer requests. I tried to gently give them feedback on how they handled my order, but I was met with an āI donāt care about how you want your coffee, I follow the lines, take it or leave itā attitude, which was very cold even though they used polite words, low tone and gave a meaningless āhave a good dayā at the end.
Hopefully this will be...

I have updated my original review score to reflect the responsiveness by the owner. While I will not remove my original critique, you earned my respect back as a customer just for being a good steward of your clientele. I will try another location soon, but your thoughtful and conscientious response warrants an upgraded score for my overall appreciation of your business practices.
Thank you for taking note and doing what you can to make it right.
Original review:
Coffee was great, and the scone I had was unparalleled.
But if you're gonna lecture me about the mask mandate (and be incorrect when you do so) maybe you need to do something about your layout that puts me, the guy getting lectured (inaccurately) about not having my mask on in line, while standing 4 inches from where unmasked people are sitting and eating/drinking with no mask. I understand the ordinance (and clearly better than you do) but when you stop using common sense I stop wanting to spend my...
