Had an amazing weekend stay at the Quincy for the Vans Warped tour. I was there for 3D/2N. I chose this hotel for its location, price, room, and amenities. I tend to be selective with the hotels I stay at, as I used to work in the hospitality industry. I have a few suggestions and feedback, but overall, it was an amazing stay. I love that this hotel is only 2 blocks away from the nearest metro. I arrived after lunchtime on Saturday and was happily surprised that I was able to check in early. The check-in process was very smooth, and the gentleman who checked me in was very kind and attentive. I love the lobby If I wasn't going to be out all day, I would just chill there for a few hours, it's small but there's a lot to give, from the free refreshments, free popcorn, wine hour, doggy corner, board games behind the front desk and the marketplace. I stayed at 311, the room is huge with a modern touch, I love the simplicity and functionality of the room. The entryway shelf with hooks is very convenient, and I love the sleek design. Walkthrough closet to the bathroom is nice, across is a large mirror, I recommend adding a small table and chair to make it a small powder area. The bathroom is on the smaller side, has no exhaust, the plate for the shower handle is loose, and it is unable to open the door without dragging the bath mat to the side of the tub. No other complaints, the refillable body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are great and environmentally friendly. I was surprised to see that it is a full-functioning kitchen with a dishwasher, a breakfast bar, and not just a kitchenette. All kitchen equipment, utensils, pots, pans, tableware, and drinkware are clean and available for use in the drawers; there's even a toaster, kettle, and dish drying rack in the drawers. Very impressive and very useful for my weekend stay. The bed is nice and comfy. I would've preferred king-size pillows, but it was alright, and I got a good night's sleep. The room is nice and spacious, but the lack of central lighting makes the main room very dim, even with the lamps from the bedside and desk. And I recommend blackout curtains, I would love not to wake up with the brightness of the morning. There are numerous outlets to charge my gadgets, all conveniently located. Lots of drawers to store clothes or anything that needs keeping, some drawers don't close all the way, might need some magnets to be embedded on the sides. As the rest of the stay, everything was great, love the boutique-ish feel, and James at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. An older gentleman with the front desk team was very kind and asked how my stay was going. Fabulous crew you have at the Quincy! Will stay again on my next visit to DC and highly recommend it to friends...
Read moreBED BUG ALERT! I had the misfortune of staying at the Quincy Ascend 6/6/25-6/8/25 for the World Pride event. At first glance, the hotel was very nice. It had a convenient location and a full kitchen. At approximately 3:30am on 6/8/25, a bedbug crawled across my pillow. A picture was taken, and the bug was killed. Three bug identifier websites/apps identified it as a bedbug. We immediately notified the front desk. Initially, they told us that there were no available rooms, but they were willing to "change the linens". Then, a room happened to come available, and we were moved to a new room at 5am. They provided us with a late checkout as we had not slept. Upon checkout the next day, we inquired as to what they would be doing to address the issue. They advised that management was informed and they would reach out to us first thing Monday morning. Monday morning came around, and no one contacted us. I took it upon myself to call Sirey Reyes (Operations Manager); however, her phone went directly to voicemail, and her voicemail was full. I emailed her notifying her that a bedbug was found in the room and that we had to purchase a heater and new luggage. The picture of the bedbug was provided. The response I received was "We have already scheduled a licensed pest control company to inspect the room thoroughly. The inspection is set for Thursday, June 12th. We must wait for the results of the inspection before discussing any potential compensation." The General Manager, Ibrahim Bajrami, was copied on this email. Much to my dismay, bedbug bites started to appear on that Tuesday, 6/10/25, at which time I sent pictures and provided a copy of the invoice for the $160 bedbug heater I had to purchase. On 6/12/25, I received an email stating that there was a detailed inspection of both rooms and that "no signs of bed bug activity or infestation were found in either room". They then stated they will not be proceeding with reimbursement at this time. I have since disputed all charges for this hotel and will be filing a report with the Washington DC Health Department. We were only seeking reimbursement of the stay to cover the costs of the remediation we had to do for two households to include purchasing a heater, replacing luggage, and replacing additional items that had to be thrown away. The lack of accountability is disturbing, and I will never stay at this hotel again. Please do...
Read moreThis hotel was amazing! We stayed for 7 nights. I read some reviews the day before coming and was a little worried based on what some people said. Literally every negative thing I read was false. The rooms and all the linens were extremely clean. The air conditioning was great! Our room stayed very cool. The customer service was immaculate. They were extremely helpful and accommodating. I forgot to pack my fan when I came and they provided one for me. If I ever needed anything for our room, like towels, they were right there with fresh ones. If I didn't have time to run the dishwasher, the dishes were washed and put away by the time we came back. When we would come back from walking, it was like walking into a new room. The beds were changed every single day and towels were restocked, the dishes were done, counters were wiped down, the floors were cleaned, etc. We stayed with 2 adults and 2 children on the 10th floor. We barely ever heard anyone else outside our room. This is also a pet-friendly hotel, and I NEVER ONCE heard another animal. The entire week, I never heard barking or smelled animals here. You would never know they are there. We stayed over the 4th of July weekend too! So, you'd think we'd hear at least one animal, with the fireworks and all, but it was silent in our room. On the 4th of July, they also had hotdogs, lemonade, popcorn, and all kinds of goodies for kids for the Holiday. The front desk was always available for questions or requests. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. The kids loved staying here. They wanted to go back to the hotel the entire time we were in DC.
The kitchen provides you with mugs, plates, glasses, measuring cups/spoons, silverware, mixing bowl, colander, toaster, a frying pan, a kettle, basic cooking utensils, microwave, fridge, and freezer. Everything you need!
There are also so many places to eat around this location. About everything you could want, you can walk there, including popular tourist sites and monuments. When I am in DC again, I will be...
