SEPHORA — Local services in Washington

Frankly, I have never had a worse retail experience than this. As someone has worked in the retail experience, I understand corporate quotas, and the desperation to sign people up for "company cards", but the staff at this store are incredibly manipulative, unprofessional, lack discretion and rude. Upon walking in, I was transported back into middle school as the staff laughed at me, and made comments about my physical appearance. This continued until I thought, a nicer employee appeared. She helped me find the products I needed, but began to take advantage of my naivety in the makeup world, ultimately angling to sign me up, basically without my knowledge, for the company card. This card, has a 30% interest rate, and is absolutely a SCAM, and if you are someone who has trouble saying no, do not go to this store. I have never in my life felt so insecure on a shipping trip, and will find a different brand of makeup store altogether after this experience. If you are someone who does not like being bullied by the employees of an establishment, do not shop here. If you do not want your physical appearance to be commented on, do not shop here. I had an amazing time at this Sephora. When I tell you the customer service was above and beyond it really was! If you ever go ask Taylor to help you. She did great and answered all my questions. She even helped me find a good color match. My birthday is in 2 days so I chose the free skin care kit. I also love the fact that they make sure you get to that register. I wasn’t offended because I’d rather show that I’m an honest and loyal customer. Don’t come to this Sephora playing security is on point. I had a Halloween Special Occasion makeover with Khamani and it could not have gone any better.

I gave her a tough test by describing how I wanted the look to feel for my Little Red Riding Hood costume without providing a specific visual. She took my ideas into consideration and used her incredible eye for beauty to craft a professionally finished look that checked off all of my boxes.

The makeup looked absolutely fabulous - I got compliments throughout the night of how pretty I looked and a woman even said I was a cutie patootie! I want to book another makeover with Khamani in the future before a big date...
