I've been coming to this teriyaki restaurant for over a year and today something unusual has taken place. They normally open at 11 AM when I arrived one of the cooks come to the door and said that they are not going to open until 1230, I arrived at back at 12:35. The doors still was not opened and the cooks were sitting at the table, eating and laughing as I looked in the window. Instead of getting up from the table and communicating with me they were laughing and pointing to the sign on the door, which read “Will open at 12:30pm today” One of them came over to the door and said that they're not going to open until 1:30pm.
I am not sure what is happening to the restaurant but it was very disappointing and rude for the works to be laughing and pointing at the sign, which read 12:30pm not 1:30pm.
There are not many good food places to eat at in puyallup, this is one of the few. It's very unfortunate that their workers are rude and in control the restaurant today.
I hope the owner reads this review and speaks to their employees regarding...
Read moreI have tried this restaurant a couple times and it is a good fix for when you feel like having Asian and don't feel like cooking at home. This place has been here for many years and I am happy to see they are doing well during COVID, as well. I say this because I have been there a couple times now and have waited in line each time, especially during dinner time. The place is unassuming, no seating currently due to no dine in policy from WA state and it's really clean. The service is good too. Except one time when I ordered stir fry noodles based on their menu and they gave me just stir fry veggies. They were good veggies so I didn't mind but I have made a personal note to just repeat my order twice anywhere so I get what I am ordering. The food is good - fresh, flavorful and simple. The packing is unassuming and just like any other restaurant. I especially like their teriyaki chicken and the spicy teriyaki is great too. Overall, good...
Read moreNeeded a quick lunch out with the kiddos. We sat down at the table. It was sticky. We moved to another table that looked clean. That table was Sticky too. Chalked it up to old tables. Food portions are HUGE! Ordered items were: Chicken Fried Rice (just OK), Katsu chicken (tasted above average, but the sauce was not well received at the table) and the lunch special S&S chicken (eh, I didn't hate it) with Mongolian Beef (beef was super chewy). I really really want to love this place. I want to write an amazing review. The woman that served us was very pleasant. Service was very fast. Over all experience was average, but about 20 minutes after we ate, 2 out of the 3 of us were in a hurry to get to the bathroom and stayed close to the bathroom the rest of the afternoon. So it wasn't...
