Location - convenient for me since I live 2 min away! I would walk in the day but will definitely drive if I came at night.
Customer service: amazing. The woman at the front window was kind and helpful.
Ordering: convenient self-checkout kiosk. There is only one kiosk so when all food places have moved in they will need to add more. Or maybe that is what the woman at the front window will do? Not sure.
Food: When I visited around 4pm on a Wednesday only Burger King, nestle toll house, paisanos pizza, and another place were open (forgetting). I ordered from nestle and paisanos.
Nestle toll house— cookies were packaged in the cutest box! I love the card. The cookies weren’t warm though even after I picked up right after they had been added into the pickup box. I would like to come back and try if they are warm since the packaging was so nice. 2 cookies came up to under $4.80- ($2.25/each+tax)might be normal for cookies but I wish they were a little bigger like call your mother bagel shop.
Paisanos— why is this location not on the paisanos official website!? I’ve been driving to college park to pickup pizza when it has been 2 min away all along! There is not wings made here unfortunately so if you want those you’ll have to go to a free standing store. Pizza seemed like it was the same price as my order in a free standing store so I can’t complain about price.
Overall I liked this location! I’ve been to another ghost kitchen-like place in Brookland and that one has an overwhelming smell once you walk in since all vendors are right there. This one doesn’t have a strong smell of any vendor, which would be overwhelming.
The place is clean and has a unisex bathroom if you need to wash your hands before you eat outside on one of the 4 patio tables, which is the only place to...
Read moreGreat concept, poor execution. We live around the corner and have been ordering from different vendors here for months and have had issues with all but one location, Mega Ramen. It’s hard to identify why food orders get lost in the system and/or delayed considering I’ve ordered on their site, 3rd party food apps and directly from the vendor’s apps but fact remains there’s a system problem that makes this place unreliable. Mega Ramen is the exception with whom we consistently order via Uber eats and get the food on time. Burger King is for some reason is not able to receive orders from the Burger King app but sadly the app doesn’t know this and I had to find out after arriving to find out my order was never started on despite me having been charged. Bangkok Bowls took over an hour to finish our order despite the ivy city site saying to pick up 5-15 min after ordering. Ended up waiting in the lobby 45min and the food was not remotely worth it. A shawarma spot once took 30 min before I asked why and found out they never got the notification of the Grubhub order I paid for. List goes on and on. People at the front are typically friendly but will never have an answer or solution for you because of “the system” so they never actually help you. Let’s not even discuss that a majority of the supposed vendors are never open or have their menu option unavailable. All in all skip using this cloud kitchen and order from a brick and mortar food vendor that you can hold accountable when things go wrong. (If not for Mega Ramen I would rate this...
Read moreVisiting DC, first time ordering here. Love the concept...but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Placed order from Roll Play around 6:30pm. It said food would be ready between 6:55 and 7:05. I never received a confirmation by phone or email, which seemed odd. (I don't think I've ever ordered ANYTHING online without receiving a receipt.) But the system at the pick-up site had my name in it, so I know my order went through. Every time I checked the order status from 7:00 to 7:25, the order was "still processing," never "cooking." If you have a problem with your order, it's VERY hard to track someone down to help (no bell or phone or anything). A guy finally appeared to bring other people's food to the drop boxes, and he went to get someone from the Roll Play, who had to make a couple of trips to the back before telling us there was no record of our order, even though my name showed up on the screen and my credit card had processed!!! So he had to make our order from scratch. And we forgot to mention the egg roll order, so we paid around $8 for food that we never got to eat. We finally got our order at 7:45, 40 minutes late. The food itself was ok, but we wasted nearly an...
