Jake's Tavern — Restaurant in Washington

I came to this bar hoping to enjoy a good time and play some music through the TouchTunes app. However, every time I played Spanish songs, THE VOLUME WAS NOTICEABLY LOWERED to the point where I could barely hear them. In contrast, when English songs played, the VOLUME WAS RAISED AGAIN. If the venue doesn't want certain genres or languages played, then maybe those options shouldn't be available on the app or dont have the app.

We had a few drinks and tried to enjoy ourselves regardless, but it was hard to ignore the pattern. My girlfriend was especially uncomfortable with what felt like a disrespectful and biased action. When we brought this up to the waitress, she offered a refund and asked if we wanted water—completely dismissing what my girlfriend had expressed. That response felt shallow and unprofessional.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon after realizing Dacha was too busy to find a seat. At first I thought we stumbled upon a hidden gem because there was plenty of good options and a cute backyard patio. We ordered a round of beers and I also ordered food - pull apart bread and fried brussel sprouts ($44 total including tax for just these two items). We waited close to 20 minutes before I went inside and checked on the food, then the bartender brought it out. The pull apart bread was half melted cheese, half messy shredded cheese; the fried brussels were tasty but definitely not worth $14 an order. Lastly we wanted to get another round, and despite it not being busy (maybe 4 people at the bar and 6 people outside), my boyfriend couldn’t get the bartender’s attention for about 15 minutes. Recently I visited Jake's Tavern and had a unruly bartender tell me I didn't have enough when I haven't even given him my ID yet. After letting him know I'm counting my small bills he proceeded to be not so welcoming I asked for a manager /another server and he told me he was the only person on shift at that time .I truly just wanted to relax after a long day.After picking my beverage and giving him My ID I gave him the money he snatched it . I was blatantly being ignored .Yes sometimes it Is busy but to choose who to be short tempered , blatantly rude, nice too is not ok.
