Jolt 'N Bolt Coffee & Tea House — Restaurant in Washington

I walked into Jult and Bolt and found myself staring at a veritable cornucopia of food. a good 3rd of the coffee house is taken up by the counter surrounding the barristas, and it is covered with glass jars and display cases filled with healthy things like fruit and sandwiches. They have plenty of delicious unhealthy things, too - pastries and potato chips and the like. I also had plenty of options for coffee - less so for for tea.

Unfortunately there's not much by the way of atmosphere at Jult and Bolt. There's no music playing, and the clamour of the coffee maker is loud and constant enough that one has to raise one's voice to be heard over it. I listened to my own music (streamed over the Cafe's free wifi) and sat at one of the 12 interior tables.

I'd recommend the place as a stop from point A to B. The cafe gives all of its decent drinks in "to go" paper cups, a la Starbucks - make use of it and go sit in Meridian park, a few blocks...

This place is a great little stop for a coffee, smoothie, or small bite to eat. The smoothies are large and delicious. They have pastries, bagels, açaí bowls, sandwiches, pretty much something for everyone. It’s small so sometimes the wait can be long but that’s because it’s a good local spot. (My one complaint is often I go in and there’s no line, but the employees are behind the counter doing something and don’t acknowledge you. You don’t know whether they know you’re there or not and you end up standing around for a while. I wish they would let you know they’ll be with you in a moment so you know you’ve been seen, instead of awkwardly standing around for so long. That’s a minor complaint though and def does not warrant less stars. It helps me practice patience so I’ll try and see it that way next time...

The cozy and inviting atmosphere of the cafe makes it the perfect spot to relax, catch up with friends or work on your laptop. The service is top-notch and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. The coffee and tea selection is extensive and the quality is exceptional. I highly recommend trying their signature drink, the Jolt 'N Bolt Latte - it's delicious! The pastries and breakfast sandwiches are also amazing and make for a perfect morning meal. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. The seating options are varied, from comfortable chairs to booths to outdoor seating. The cafe is always clean and well-maintained. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quality coffee or tea experience in a welcoming and comfortable...
