We visited on Saturday afternoon. I’ll start off with the positives: this place, reminds me of a mini Krispy Kreme, where you can watch fresh miniature donuts being made. They also sell ice cream, floats, and milkshakes with a variety of flavors. Donuts are sold in sets of 6 (1 flavor), 12 (2 flavors), and 24 (4 flavors). We ordered 12 donuts which were soft and decent.

Here is where the experience went downhill for us. I asked Jay, the employee helping us, if I can get 8 donuts with the hot cinnamon flavor and 4 donuts with sprinkles. He replied, “Yes, only if we leave him a review,” with a straight face. His request came off more abrasive and demanding as opposed to friendly. When we looked confused, he repeated his request which made the interaction uncomfortable. We decided to get 6 of each flavor instead.

To make it worse, he picked up 6 plain donuts then walked to the back area out of sight with the donuts, then came back to the area by the donut machine to add the cinnamon mixture.

What Jay didn’t realize is that I enjoy leaving reviews when service enhances my experience, and I had every intention to leave a positive review of this experience had it been gone smoothly. My recommendation: please don’t fish for reviews, they will happen organically because your work speaks for itself.

I’m willing to give this place a second try, but I’m unsure when I...

Truly worthy of being a D.C. favorite! Ice Cream Jubilee offers a wide variety of delicious flavors, spanning expertly crafted classics and a series of fun, creative new varieties. There are a few consistent favorites that are always on the menu, as well as a seasonal menu that rotates in and out, meaning that I know that I'll be able to find something I love every time I visit, but I also have a lot of opportunities to try something fun and new. I also appreciate that they offer multiple vegan options, unlike most ice cream shops that will just have one very generic sorbet. They also clearly label which flavors are vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, as well as a series of other key dietary restrictions, which I really appreciated, since I've often found that I have to ask the staff and just generally hold up the line or feel like a burden to figure out that information.

I tried out their seasonal strawberry hibiscus and it was absolutely incredible -- so light and refreshing, with the taste of summer exploding across my tastebuds. It also wasn't overwhelmingly sweet in the way sorbets sometimes can be. All around amazing shop, and I cannot wait to visit again to try out the next new...

I wish I could give zero stars honestly . The customer service was less than acceptable . Big momma at the register was very rude and condescending. I was a first time customer asking questions about the menu and felt like I was bugging her so even with that I still placed my order and tipped when I got my order is was not the picture I showed her and she was very combative saying “ I asked if you wanted fudge… ok so what do you want ? Do you want to return it?” So even with that I was very nice I showed her the pic which is what I asked for and she said “ well we don’t have that it’s only a promo picture “….. will not be returning . I didn’t even want to go through the trouble of having to deal with her so I didn’t return the item I just dumped it in the trash . Very disappointed with my experience ! .

(UPDATE) Thank you for responding but the issue wasn’t the refund. The issue was she wasn’t open to even listen to what I was trying to ask her. Saying “ so what do you want” instead of taking some accountability even to say we don’t have it in a nice way would have been fine with me. When I got the item I just wanted to make sure I even ordered the...

Wonderful assortment of ice cream with a constant rotation of new flavors, and ole reliable flavors as well. They got cones, cups, sundaes, sold by the pint, and usually something going on. We went during the 4th of July and got a Freedom Sundae! The blueberry waffle icecream + passionfruit guava sorbet + bold vanilla was a masterful combination. The blueberry waffle had amazing textures from the waffle; the sorbet had a nice tangy refreshing flavor, all backed by the solid vanilla flavor that cleansed the palette. Line is usually long, but moves quickly. It is a locally owned, woman owned, and AAPI owned business that supports the community in so many ways. Always looking for a reason to come back!
