Craving Crispy Chicken Perfection? Head to TKK Chicken in Luna Hall! Let's face it, finding good fried chicken can be a gamble. Nestled in the heart of Luna Hall's Chinatown haven lies a gem: TKK Chicken. Haters are always going to hate and let me assure you, this TKK Location is one to check out my review and photos!
From the moment you step inside you are transported to a cool lounge and bar area, then in the back are all the food court stations. When going to the TKK Fried Chicken counter, you're greeted by smiles that are as warm as the golden-fried goodness about to be bestowed upon you. The staff here are the real MVPs – friendly, helpful, and always ready to guide you through their tempting menu. English may not be their first language and having a multilingual staff is an asset to have, especially in this touristy area!
Speaking of that menu, it's a delightful symphony of flavors, all at a price that won't break the bank. We're talking juicy, perfectly-seasoned fried chicken pieces, from classic to spicy, that will have you saying "cluck yeah!" TKK is more than just a one-hit wonder. Don't forget to explore their side dish options – the sweet potato churro fries or the shishito peppers! The prices are clearly marked and they make sure you review your order before paying.
Once you experience the magic of TKK Chicken, you might just find yourself becoming a regular, like many of their customers who work and live in the area (don't worry, they do not judge!). I ordered the two piece mild chicken combo with sweet potato fries and a milk tea boba drink, they even included a biscuit too! The wait time was reasonable as it can get busy during the lunch rush or during dinner time. Luna Hall even hosts special events!
So next time you're in DC's Chinatown and your stomach starts rumbling for something crispy, flavorful, and affordable, head on over to Luna Hall and let TKK Fried Chicken show you what Taiwanese fried chicken dreams are made of! You won't be...
Read moreI hadn't felt much of a reason to visit Chinatown until I saw a new Chinese food hall had opened up. As soon as you walk in, you immediately see the sleek decor and feel the modern vibe of the hall. The hall currently has 4 of its restaurants open. I knew it had Kung Fu Tea so I already knew the bubble tea would be good. I tried Pollo Aria and the chicken was flavorful and juicy, exactly what you want for Peruvian chicken. TKK's spicy chicken sandwich had a nice kick to it, was very crispy, and overall was delicious. I was also pleasantly surprised by the flavors and smokiness in the charred corn side! Dumpling District was the main event for me. I saw the rainbow soup dumplings on their website and had to get it. 6 different flavors, each of them absolutely delicious (truffle and mala were my favorite though)! They are handmade and steamed on the spot, which I liked. Who doesn't like freshly made food? But keep in mind, that does mean it may take about 10-15 minutes. That gave me time to stop by the bar which had a wide range of cocktails, beers and soju available. Their bartender was friendly and was great at recommending cocktails. I tried the Black Pink In Yo Area and it was so pretty (black and pink, of course!) and was such a sippable, yummy drink. I wish I was able to try more food but there was too much to try in one trip. I look forward to another visit to try some dim sum items and hopefully...

If you just wanted to grab a drink and have something to eat whether it be dumplings to chicken this is the perfect place to meet your needs.
You can have boba tea which is unbiasedly the best I’ve had worldwide to date. There’s an overwhelming amount of options and makes you feel like you have no clue what to get.
But you can do as I did and simply choose the one in the picture which is what I did. I still don’t recall the name but will include pictures of it. It was with coffee, boba and some other milk base. But the shot of espresso was on the bottom. So it was unique and great.
The soup dumplings are an absolute must. The chicken is huge. So if you go, have company you’re willing to share with.
The portions are great. Definitely get a bang for buck.
The service was great, swift and irrefutable to give them top ratings. When they can continue to serve and keep it coming before you can finish it’s you as the customer that can’t keep up with the service which is always a good thing.
Opposed to having to look for a waiter or waitress that’s nowhere to be found like...
