Very cool coffee shop located close to The White House! The interiors are really amazing giving you a chill vibe and it's a pretty happening place with lots of people walking in to have a coffee. I ended up here charging my phone and the staff was really friendly enough to let me know where the charging port is! While waiting for it, I ordered mocha frappe. Well.. this was the first time I've had a mocha frappe outside Starbucks and must say it simply blew up my mind. The coffee seemed to be layered with the dark chocolate milk at the bottom, latte in the middle and whipped cream at the top. Overall, it was 5/5. I better hope the POTUS is aware of this place and gets his coffee well.. atleast frappe from these people!

FANTASTIC near 3rd-wave coffee just down the street from the White House & kitty-corner to the Eisenhower Executive bldg. Their Forte Espresso blend is a smooth harmony of notes whout the typical, American-burnt cowboy coffee taste. I just bought a bag of their Anniversary Blend and am so excited to try it. FINALLY, some good coffee in our country! And the staff: awesome - go figure. With coffee like this, who wouldn't be happy all the time?

So I love Peets, and the team who works here are usually always nice to me and every other customer. But my issue with this location now was their poor treatment to my fiance last week. The menu specifies espresso as single, double, or triple by the name. Above the prices, small, medium, or large are written. My fiance didn't understand what that meant - his question was "does this mean someone can order a double espresso in small size?" He's only been in the U.S. for 2 years and his English isn't perfect, so I could see why this was confusing wording. Hell, even I was taken aback when he pointed out that there was 3 sizes and 3 amounts to choose from. I've never even seen that. He asked for clarification and then asked again because he still couldn't understand and both the cashier and the lady making the drinks were rude to him, talking in a tone to him as if he were stupid and they were annoyed.

Isn't your job to be helpful? There wasn't a line, we weren't holding anyone up, so what...

My office team of about 6 dudes and dudettes would meet here every morning at 8am andnjust relax. The atmosphere is inviting The coffee? Delicious. Not too acidic on the right blend. The staff? Right on point. Funny, friendly, and they don't feel forced.

They'll remind you to use the app. Not because it feels like a corporate mandate but because you actually get some good perks I've bought three glass pour over carafes here. I've bought countless pounds of beans too. Dont let the bins fool you, they do post the date of roasting. Its worthwhile. Expensive but you get what you pay for.

Food? I don't really ever order it but my coworkers swear by some of their breakfast meals. "This ain't your McD's sangwitch" my coworker who likes to purposely mispronounce words would say. I'll take his word for it.

They're friendly to protesters and to the homeless. Oh and they're open earlier than most of the...
