Honestly I am proud to say I have come here almost almost everyday for the past 6 months So I can speak on this. I have only really had one dish being the Lomo saltado a lo pobre. So I can only speak on that dish but it is so so good. There is a reason I don’t get tired of it. To start the sauce they use black one in there meat is a little different from your typical sauce for peruvian dishes which when I first had it made me think a little bit before I could even finish that thought my mouth started salivating for the next bite. I am a very and I mean very picky eater so when I got my job at amazon I made sure to find a spot that would satisfy what I like and usually it is plain dishes as with a lot of modern restaurants nowadays it’s just stunt food with so much going on that it loses the actual value which is the taste. This place doesn’t do that. Not only is there food amazing it also looks the part too, There take on this classic dish is something I like to call perfect. Hell I have even thought abt paying them to teach me how to make it. The thing abt this dish is that it has a perfect blend of everything and is portioned out in a way where you are left not hungry but not overly full either it’s perfect. The amount of meat they portion out to each dish is notably measured to a very precise amount and this attention to detail is what makes having this dish everytime note worthy. I know I won’t need to order extras or modify my order like in other places. Taking a break from the food itself the staff is amazing , I have been there from 10:30am -3pm at the latest so during all times and wether they are at rush hour or free they make sure to make each and every customer feel important. A side note as well while a restaurant should never be judged upon this I find this a + but they treat frequent customers very nicely and I have on a few occasions been given a drink or a cookie whenever I am not able to buy it myself. I am nit picky as well for the ambience of a room and this place doesn’t it right I see whom I assume to be the manager cleaning up whenever the employees are busy the care they have is commendable and needs to be rewarded. I never feel like I am sitting at a dirty table I always feel cared for and the food never grows old. All around I wish I could recommend this restaurant or at least this one dish for a michelin start because I have been to many places to eat around the world from bolivia to peru itself and more and out of all my ventures I can easily say this one dish tops it off. That isn’t said lightly either because I have been to michelin star restaurants. I have never once been treated badly by the staff even when it was clear it was busy and I was being extra (asking for more sauce and water and changing sauces out for another) . The best part is they always serve with a smile. Now for some lowlights before I say this I want to just day these Lowlights are very minimal and I only include them because I am big on honesty. Out of all the times I have been here I have only been served A dish incorrectly 1 time and what I mean by that is that the sauce was sweet instead of it’s usual taste.Other then that never have I ever gotten an inconsistent order , I am pretty sure they were just experimenting with the when it was sweet. This has only happened once out of the over 100 times I have been here, I only include it to be honest. Secondly not really an issue just something I wish could be there is if they could serve larger eggs as I believe the eggs they use rn are medium I believe a little more is needed but not necessary as it is still amazing. I know prices are high right now for eggs. Final review, Out of everywhere I have been to this place has been the best in food and in service I recommend everyone go here and...
Read moreMy overall rating is average - I went here a while back after learning of this place working for Uber Eats. Prior to I had never heard of this place. I had the empanadas (pricey) which were phenomenal my first go around. Very flavorful, savory, kind of exotic. Fast forward to last Saturday (3/29). I was sold from my first visit so i ordered empanadas again, and my daughter ordered Lomo Saltado with the works plantains, eggs. My order was not good at all this go around. They were dry in the inside almost as if they were cooked earlier in the week and placed in the warm case - the sauce did not help - the bread was dried out and the filling was very dry. Totally disappointed. ☹️ My daughter said hers was okay - the steak was a bit chewy and lacked flavor. I asked her would she order it again and her answer was No. Note to Mgt. For your price point - consistency is key we paid a lil over $60 bucks for a shocker “dry dry empanadas” “and mediocre steak” the can sodas were totally overpriced $3 bucks. Based on that I more than likely won’t return again - that is airport prices for the drinks. However, that ended up being the best part of my visit an Inca Cola ✅ I will say the tableware is top tier the utensils were extremely nice along with the plates. So Mgt here’s the question is it your intention to known for good food or for lovely utensils / tableware??? I forgot about my food but distinctly remember my fork and...
Read moreRight. So I walked into this Peruvian restaurant run by Mario and Giuseppe, which, granted, sounds like a buddy cop duo from a 1980s action film. But never mind that, because once you sit down, you’re hit with flavors so sharp and fresh they could shave your face.
The food? Absolutely spot on. The ceviche was citrusy lightning in a bowl, the lomo saltado was smoky, rich, and punched harder than a welterweight champion, and the aji sauces should honestly come with a warning label, because you will end up licking the plate like an unsupervised toddler. So yes, the food is brilliant.
Prices? High, yes. But look around. In this part of town, you’re lucky if a glass of water doesn’t come with a finance plan. At least here, the cost is backed by real craft and flavor.
Now, let’s talk about the service.
It’s not that the staff are unfriendly, they’re warm, they smile, they seem to genuinely care. The issue is momentum. You don’t get the sense they’re in a rush, or even entirely aware that time is a thing. Plates arrive like they’re taking the scenic route. It’s all a bit… meditative.
P.Brothers I love that your team is relaxed, but maybe… too relaxed?
And that’s the shame of it, because this place is genuinely excellent. It just needs a bit more go to...
