This place is recommended by my AirBnB host during my visit to DC and the buzz on the street is that it has been listed amongst the Best of DC by the Washington City Paper in 2017 for Best Pho and Best Vietnamese.

Since Pho is my comfort food (especially on a cold day), I pop into one of their three locations. I was hungry and a large Pho was in order. The standard for a "large" has been set pretty high by the Pho restaurant in Oklahoma City (it has one of the largest Vietnamese communities). As such, I was a little disappointed when what I would call a medium bowl of Pho arrived.

I learn not to be too quick to judge and in anticipation, tasted the soup first to wet my appetite. The broth was very favorful and aromatic, which hit a spot for me immediately.

I added fresh jalapeños with a splash of lime juice into the soup for a refreshing kick to the experience. All in all, the serving size was soon out of my mind as the generous portion of meat with a satisfying amount of rice noodles won the day.

I also ordered another one of my favs; Vietnamese Ice Coffee. Besides being disappointed (again) that it was not served as a drip with a side of ice, the sweet and rich glass of iced joe was a good finish to a...

I order my lunch regularly from this place . Sometimes 5 times in a weak I ignored that 2 times they give me a tea with bad milk that turn in to cheese , I also ignore when they give me a plum souse that was fermenting in the container thinking that everyone makes mistakes and this is how we learn I usually call and make an order for pickup just giving them my name . Today i had a guy on the phone being very rude. he wont take the order unless i give my phone number . i walk down and ask to make an order i wait until its node and he did not take the order conditioning me that if i don't give my phone number i can't order in the restaurant. When i wanted to walk out of the restaurant he started waiving good bye . if this is the way a frequent client is treated i really don't want to know how the new clients are treated. i am very disappointed that i gave to give my money and personal information in order to pay that guy's salary at this point i will stop ordering from there encouraging all my friends , coworkers not to go to this place again. this review will posted and updated on all the social media, yelp , google etc... The client chose what he wants and how he wants it because...

My coworkers and I came to eat yesterday at this restaurant, the food was pretty good the location was not that busy , they only had one server sitting , brining the plates and charging, we order our food and the server gave us our bill which was all together . We had calculated the tip and food and nice they upon bring up the price tip, by 1 dollar difference . I pay with my card and left since we were in a hurry. When I got home this morning I notice that the tip was different and he has added one more appetizer of crispy egg roll they we never order . Bellow is the final bill .

Check your final bill for the tip change and the items you requested before paying the bill

Notice the tip change . Advice check your bill at the end for small changes and added items that you did not ask for . Specially if your server is Anh-X . I don’t want to be that person but I hope it was only because he was busy and made a mistake and he was alone , but the restaurant was not that busy by the time we asked...

TLDR: Do not order the lemonade! Came to this place on a sleepy 2pm weekday, ordered a pork sandwich platter with beef broth and spring rolls, and a homemade lemonade. The service was excellent (for what it is), lady was nice and helpful and the food arrived quickly and efficiently. First the lemonade arrived, and oh my god it was SO SWEET. I thought maybe the syrup hadn't been stirred yet, but nope it was literally the sweetest drink I've ever had. Then the spring rolls came, they were average, it was a bit odd having a cherry on top. The beef broth and banh mi were also average, not super amazing, but it did the job on a cold winter afternoon. The floor is hard so acoustics can get bad, on the day that I was there the restaurant was at 53dB, which is quiet and easy to maintain a conversation without raising your voice though. Overall I would have enjoyed a meal here if I'm looking for somewhere quick in the neighborhood, but I wouldn't bring friends here or expect too much!
