Potbelly — Restaurant in Washington

I visited this location for the second time 12/21/22. The girl who took my order seemed bothered but I still smiled and kept the positivity flowing. I told her her my order she wrung me up and as I moved to the tables to wait for my ride I noticed another employee talking to I’m assuming her child at school. It was no discreetness about this conversation. She let that child know that they were every name in the book other than a child of God and that if they were to go to sleep on time and stay off that phone then maybe they wouldn’t fall asleep in class. I thought that was extremely unprofessional I’m sure there is an area in the BOH for the employees to take calls. She could’ve even stepped outside and at that point I just kept thinking to myself wow for the location I’m in,this store is pretty Ghetto. My sandwich was DRY,this girl put mayo in between my turkey meat I had to remove the bread because it was hard and just eat the toppings. Just a waste of money. Anywhoo late that night my stomach started to have sharp pains,diarrhea kicked in I had to literally sleep on the toilet. When I did lay down the pain never ceased. I was sweating bullets,hot and just miserable. I will be calling corporate now that I am able to comfortably talk. Hopefully the staff here takes better sanitation precautions and more training on customer service. This...

My partner and I came into Potbelly to get milkshakes this evening and was only greeted by one service worker who seemed overwhelmed with a line of customers with no help. The service worker Ashley came out to assist shortly after. Ashley did not greet my partner and I but stated “what can I get for you”. After we stated what milkshakes we’d like, I proceeded to say that I wanted “extra cookies”. She never acknowledged that. She went to prepare the milkshakes and once they were done she handed them off to my partner. I then asked which milkshake has the extra cookies that I asked for and her response was “I made them both at the same time so idk they both have extra cookies”. Ashley’s delivery, tone, appearance and lack of professionalism was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I believe that it is best to discuss with Ashley the importance of treating others with respect, and professionally as this seems to be a permanent job for her. For lack of better words “treat people how you’d like to be treated”. Because of Ashley’s distasteful customer service, I will not be returning to this Potbelly...

We went into the store to order two sandwiches today (One Mediterranean one grill chicken and cheddar). First of all, the store was empty, one customer already eating and three employees at the counter. When we headed to the counter to order, one employee was doing other stuff while taking our orders, we can barely hear she said. After ordering, the other employee asked us what additional topping we like and said she doesn't know what basic toppings go on the sandwich. Once we get back home, we realize the huge weight difference between two sandwiches, the Mediterranean is much heavier.... We open the sandwich, the grill chicken and cheddar only have chicken and cheddar..Iiterally.... no lettuce, no tomato, no mayo..... Unbelievable.... this store has zero customer service, and worst of all, the employees are not even getting the basic...
