My name is William A. I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an incident that occurred during my recent visit to your establishment on Saturday. Unfortunately, I experienced a distressing encounter with one of your managers, Jason, who displayed unacceptable behavior towards me. As a loyal patron of Rocket Bar, I have always enjoyed the entertainment and vibrant atmosphere that your establishment offers. In fact, I make it a point to visit every Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday to unwind and socialize. However, my recent experience has left me feeling hurt and disillusioned. During my visit on this past Saturday, Jason purposefully physically and verbally assaulted me. As a disabled, 59-year-old man who is partially paralyzed on my left side, I was especially vulnerable to his aggression. Jason forcefully pushed me into the entrance door without any remorse or concern for my well-being. The impact was so severe that I now bear bruises on my body as a painful reminder of his aggressive act.To make matters worse, Jason informed the staff that I am now barred from your establishment. As a loyal and frequent customer, I have always cherished the time spent at Rocket Bar. However, this incident has shattered my trust in your management team and has left me deeply disappointed. It is indeed distressing to think that such behavior is tolerated within your establishment. I implore you to take immediate and appropriate action to address this incident. No customer, regardless of their age, physical condition, or any other factors, should ever endure such mistreatment. It is crucial that you investigate this matter thoroughly and ensure that Jason is held accountable for his actions. Moreover, I kindly request that you provide me with an assurance that steps will be taken to prevent any future occurrences of such behavior. Your management team must prioritize the safety and well-being of all patrons, creating an environment where each individual feels valued and respected. I sincerely hope that you take this matter seriously and work towards resolving it promptly. My loyalty to Rocket Bar has been undeniably shaken by this incident, and I hope to see a swift resolution that reinstates my faith in your establishment. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I eagerly await your response and trust that suitable measures will be taken to rectify...
Read moreThe place where I met a few Nationals players one night and consumed a few shots with them. Oh how I enjoy this place, and not even for that reason.
Beer....yes the beer. Would a basement dive really have a great beer selection? absofreakinlutely. RB has a selection that ranges from Ranger IPA all the way to Guinness and back to Yuengling. If you like a particular type of beer, they'll have it on tap. They also have their awesome happy hour picks from time to time where you can get a really great beer, like Ranger, for the cheap!
They don't have food on site but they have Cal-Tor menus and you can call and they'll deliver it to the bar. (California tortilla for all you newcomers)
They have Shuffle Board, Pool, Darts, Skeeball and random video games spread throughout. They even have Misses Pac-Man! Nom nom nom! I love coming here and playing some pool or tossing some darts while partaking in a great adult beverage.
The staff is amazing. None are unfriendly and none will ignore you b/c you're ugly or prioritize you b/c your hot. You get served in one of the best "as you come" styles I've seen in DC. There is favoritism when you sit at the bar and talk to the tender though, but that's obvious. The crew is just amazing though. I went on a date here once and the girl made me drink this horrid drink on another date so I felt it was time for payback. I walked up to the bartender and asked him what was the worst drink he could make me lol. He laughed and started pulling random liquors off the shelf. I don't even remember what he called it but needless to say, she only took one sip. Victory, Blake.
The only bad experience I had there was my own fault but it's HARD to notice when you're putting drinks on a pool table after drinking all day! Not my fault! We didn't get kicked out but he removed our drinks and we lost that $$. Our fault though so I will never knock them for that. Plus, it keeps the tables in good shape so I praise them for that. I hate a...
Read moreMy wife and some co-workers came here on Oct 28th around 10pm after work (For Context). I started a tab and ordered a drink for the each of us. After we finished our drinks, we decided after a long day we just wanted to go home. I wish I remember the bartenders name, because my follow negative comments only pertain to her and not the rest of the staff or security who were nothing but nice and professional. For management…. to best describe only her and not any of your other staff.... the bartender was a female, African American that was working in the back right corner of the bar at the above time and date. Please reach out to me and you can match my name to who started my tab. After asking one single time to close my tab, she said that she was making a drink and that she was not willing to deal with me…her words (Even though she was the one that made our drinks, started our tab and I just wanted add a tip to my bill) and that I need to find another bartender. At this point I was super confused because we were only at Rocket Bar for 15 minutes and it was the first and last drink of our night and I wasn’t trying to come off other than polite. I attempted to apologize to her that I wasn’t in a rush, and I was happy to wait until she could close us out. She then proceeded to call security to escort us out who thankfully was super nice and allowed me to go to a different bartender to close our tab. I have been at Rocket Bar many times over the last few years and have never been treated this badly from any employee at any bar that I have ever been to. I can only imagine how badly she is treating other people if this how she reacted to us over a 15 min period of time. This was a horrible experience and I hope...
