Tonight I had the misfortune of trying Shari's turkey dinner, and I must say it was an experience I won't soon forget—for all the wrong reasons. The much-anticipated Thanksgiving meal turned out to be a major letdown, leaving me questioning the culinary prowess of the kitchen.
Let's start with the star of the show, the turkey. It was not only dry but practically an assault on my taste buds due to its excessive saltiness. It seemed as if the chef had mistaken the turkey for a salt lick, rendering it nearly inedible. Thanksgiving is a time for indulgence, but this was an exercise in endurance.
Next on the list of disappointments was the stuffing. "Inedible" is the only word that comes to mind. The texture resembled cardboard, and the taste was a bizarre concoction of flavors that left me wondering if it had been prepared with any semblance of care or consideration for the diner's experience.
The gravy, supposedly a comforting complement to the meal, was a sour surprise. Instead of the rich, savory goodness one expects from Thanksgiving gravy, it tasted more like a misguided attempt at sour cream. It clashed horribly with the other components of the dish, exacerbating the overall unpleasantness of the meal.
To be fair, I will give credit where it's due—the mashed potatoes managed to salvage a modicum of enjoyment. They were creamy and well-seasoned, providing a brief respite from the overwhelming assault on my taste buds. However, even these couldn't rescue the meal from the depths of its culinary missteps.
In conclusion, Shari's turkey dinner was a regrettable choice for a Thanksgiving feast. The dry, excessively salty turkey, inedible stuffing, and bizarrely sour gravy overshadowed any positive aspects of the meal. It pains me to say it, but this dining experience was a complete and utter disaster. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for a truly satisfying...
Read moreI have always loved eating at the Orchard Shari's however the past three years it has gone downhill. In the past three years, I have had everything from hair in my food to a fly 🪰 in my drink. This afternoon, my husband & I ate there for the last time. They changed their menu... prices have increased dramatically and the quality of food has gone down. The first item that I wanted was 2 pieces of french toast & 1 side of bacon 🥓 our waitress check what it would cost $18.00!!! So, I said I'll just have the prime rib dip, we'll I couldn't have that because they were out of it...so. I then settled for the club sandwich with no fries & a side salad 🥗. It took forever to get our food and when we did the bread on my sandwich was overcooked and hard, and the one piece of bacon on the sandwich was overdone and crumbly. There were fries dumped right on top of the sandwich, which if you noted from the start of this, I didn't even want fries, and then when I was almost finished with the sandwich I got the salad that I had ordered if you could call it that; It consisted of mostly huge pieces of dried out greens, with a tad bit of cheese, a tad bit of tomato and some croutons!!! I couldn't wait to get out of there, so we put the salad in a to-go container, paid our overpriced bill, and left. This is a place that we enjoy so much that we even support it during covid by ordering takeout!!! After today, I won't be going back, It probably doesn't matter to them but they lost a family of regular customers. Oh, and my husband went to use the bathroom as we were leaving & the bathroom was so gross the toilets were plugged and overflowing all over the floor along with toilet paper and other stuff that I will not mention. The whole experience was...

Everything was fine at first, food was okay. Half way through our meal, the server asked us if we wanted boxes or desert, we told her we weren't even close to done, and we were still eating. She asked again and again, we continued to tell her to leave us alone, we were still eating. She walked away and slammed the plates she had in her hand. Add to that we had a group next to use, swearing and cursing, with our 8 year old present.
We tried to go to the front to pay, and asked for a manager. The manager didn't try to apologise, instead he recited corporate policy, and didn't try to rectify the situation. He then said if we didn't stop arguing, he was going to call the police, and he sent an employee to write down our license plates. We tried to pay our tab and leave, but they continued to argue with us, and told us to leave. We didn't like that, we were fully prepared to pay, yet they treated us like we were going to eat and run. I paid the tab, no tip, and he continued to argue with me.
The employee outside scared my wife and daughter, and when we was walking back in I asked why he was still writing down our license plates, as I had paid. The manager pulled him back inside.
A managers job is to try to fix a situation, not intensify it by being argumentative. We were simply trying file a complaint, pay our tab, and go home, but they weren't allowing us to do that, they wanted...
