To survive as a local business during (and after) the pandemic, you need to innovate. Slated to open before the pandemic, Slipstream's newest and third location needed to pivot with the downtown audience suddenly gone. They slowed down and designed out the small space with the pandemic in mind. They took out a few seats to leave room for safe distancing while customers wait for their lattes. Coffee program is incredible with roasters like Onyx Roasting Lab featured. My go to is the drip, and it's always đđŒ, but espresso and pour overs are on offer.
Love the food - my go to is the Bodega, but their English muffin, breakfast sandwich, and carrot muffin with surprise cream cheese filling are all great. Will have to try the avocado toast after reading other reviews.
All dining, ordering, etc is back to normal after DC Covid restrictions were lifted -- so, do you with dining in, breaking out the...
