We were at the spy museum and came down for a quick bite. We weren't really expecting much but then we saw SpiceX. It tasted like what you would expect at a high-end Indian restaurant! The garlic naan was literally prepared on site and grilled right in front of us. The food was exceedingly fresh and delicious and the staff could not have been nicer. They provide wipes for the tables and everything was very very clean. We were incredibly impressed And the price was incredibly reasonable as well. We highly recommend this restaurant in the food court at L'Enfant!!

I recently dined at SpiceX in Washington, located within a shopping complex at L’Enfant Plaza. I ordered butter paneer but was mistakenly served butter chicken, which tasted okay but wasn’t what I wanted. The fried momos were enjoyable, though. I found the dishes to be overpriced given the portions. This was the only Indian restaurant open nearby, so it was a convenient option at the time.

SpiceX is a must-try spot for Indian food, especially if you're near the Spy Museum. It's a quick-service place with fresh, delicious naan and generous portions. Their naan is amazing and 10/ 10. Plenty of vegetarian options too. We had the paneer saag bowl and a platter with dal makhni and veg curry. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. Perfect for a quick, tasty Indian meal!

I was going to pay some parking ticket and was hungry for lunch. I'm gluten free and I don't eat a lot of rice. I stumbled across this quiet corner lunch kiosk. And I couldn't have been more shocked. It's honestly the best food I've had in DC since before covid. I rarely review a restaurant after just having one meal but my rice was swapped out for a salad and it was honestly the best salad I've had and I can't even remember there were seasonings beans and the quality was very fresh of the vegetables. The lamb and veggies was amazing. It was the freshness and quality of the food that really surprised me. Everything was cooked to its proper softness and firmness respectively. And they were really...

On June 18, 2024, I ordered the butter chicken bowl that was accompanied by rice, chickpeas, a salad, raita (yoghurt sauce) and mango chutney. There was definitely something wrong with this meal, because within an hour of returning to my office two blocks from L'Enfant Plaza, I had sharp stomach pains, culminating in diarrhea and vomiting!

I clearly got food poisoning from this establishment. This was the first time I ordered food from Spice X. I will never eat there again, which is disappointing because I love Indian food. The naan was fresh and delicious, but I tossed it out with my leftovers to be safe. Ambiance is nice and seating area...

10/10, hands down the best place (fast-casual or otherwise) I've found in DC. Butter chicken was amazing and perfectly done. Awesome portion sizes and great pricing. Killer garlic naan!

The only two little knocks against this place is that it's a little loud sometimes because of it's location in the food court area. Also, since they use square for credit processing that wants a tip on fast casual and automatically adds it unless you change it. I don't like that game and will always include it as a negative.

These are easy to look past for one of the best dining experiences in DC, though. Definitely check...
