Subway — Restaurant in Washington

I enter the store and NOBODY IS THERE. The glass cases are closed, I hear talking coming from the back, and rap music is blaring fairly loud (complete with profanity, nothing like F-bombs to go with your sandwich). I yell, but nobody hears me. Some customers come in behind me, wait around for about 5 minutes, then leave. I remained only because my girlfriend asked me to get her a sandwich.

After 10 minutes, waiting from 4:18pm to 4:28pm, an employee FINALLY peeks around the corner. He asks if I yelled, as if that was standard procedure.

I asked if there was a manager on duty, but he tells me no.

A lot of things made this visit extremely uncomfortable. No employees visible at very close to 4:20 (stoner time), and who abandon the store for awhile while blasting profane rap music. This had every appearance of the teenagers on duty having a pot smoking siesta. I'm shocked and appalled.

The best I got is a muttered "sorry" from the employee that found me waiting. Unbelievably poor service from what looks like a culture of not giving a damn...

So, a few weeks ago I went to this location to order the usual $5 dollar footlong which usually comes out to $5.48. Well, during this visit, I was told that there would be an additional $1.00 dollar for cheese. So, I opted out because I am not willing to add the dollar for a piece of cheese when a few weeks prior to, this was not an issue and the cheese came with...

A co-worker had experienced the same result when ordering regarding the cheese being $1.00 extra. Keep in mind that there were no signs posted anywhere regarding this change.

Today, I stopped in again and asked during checkout if the price was including cheese, which I did not add this time, or without.

The person behind the counter had no idea what I was talking about and also made claim that they were unaware of any pricing change regarding cheese. OK - fair enough. I did not see the worker who happened to charge the extra money for the cheese.

I've been here 4 times. The last two were because I didnt want to drive through traffic to the next closest subway. Awful service, employees look disinterested and only greeted me once out of my 4 visits here. I asked for white bread and he grabbed whole wheat, I get they sound a tiny bit similar and I could have asked for Italian but he repeatedly said that the wheat bread was white even after multiple asks. Same guy tried to toast my sandwich multiple times after telling him not toasted.

Every visit ends up with a sandwich that is just a mess, bread is not cut, meat and veggies are thrown in at odd angles and inconsistent amounts, sauces are all over the place. Opening these and eating them is an adventure on its own without things falling out or getting a saucy mess everywhere.

There are three other subways in Bothell that are 100 times better. I'll brave the traffic next time ecause I will never be...
