Taqueria Habanero at Bryant Street Market: A Flavorful Mexican Spot in DC If you’re looking for a quick, delicious bite and a refreshing drink, Taqueria Habanero at Bryant Street Market is a great choice! Menu & Drinks The menu features a solid selection of authentic Mexican dishes, including tacos, burritos, and fajitas, alongside tasty sides like street corn (elote) and indulgent desserts such as caramel churros and tres leches cake. We ordered a taco trio with chicken tinga, shrimp, and mushroom tacos, plus a flavorful chicken tortilla soup. The highlight? Their frozen mango margaritas, expertly crafted with a Tajín and Chamoy-lacquered straw and topped with chunks of fresh mango—a must-try! Ambiance & Experience Taqueria Habanero’s section of Bryant Street Market is vibrantly decorated with Mexican-inspired art and decor, instantly transporting you south of the border—right in the heart of DC. Final Thoughts Craving authentic Mexican food and handcrafted margaritas? Taqueria Habanero at Bryant Street Market is a fantastic option! They also have a 14th Street DC location and a food truck for more ways to enjoy their flavors around the city.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Went to the Bryant location inside of the food market at Rhode Island metro. The vibe inside the market was nice with lots of seating choices so we were hopeful. Got the Mango Habanero Wings and the Quesabirra Tacos. The presentation of both dishes was terrible, thrown together and not at all appetizing. Wings were very wet and the sauce was runny and not flavorful. The Birria was salty and tough and the dipping sauce was extremely salty. The tacos were barely filled and nothing seemed fresh. We ordered our food to eat there. After several people that came in after us received their food, we finally went to the counter to see what was taking our order so much longer only to see that they bagged it up as a pick up to go order and never called our number so the food was cold when we got it. $33 worth of disappointment.

If you ask any DC native where the best taco spot in the city is - I can guarantee they will say Taqueria Habanero. This is the most authentic cuisine available to those who crave comfort Mexican food. Living in DC for the past 5 years, I've brought all of the my friends and family to the 14th st location. When they expanded to Bryant St - it felt like a dream come true. Across locations the staff consistently provide an inviting and attentive experience. I'm also forever grateful for the family-oriented atmosphere, it makes it a great place to catch up with friends. The management is top tier, and that's not an easy feat in an ever-changing community such as DC. ALRIGHT so lets get to the good stuff...as a vegetarian - you already know I'm reaching for the veggie quesadilla, side of beans/rice and an agua fresca on the side. When I'm feeling a little extra...HA! You already know I'm going for those perfectly crisp curly fries loaded with veggies. Thank you TH for making this lil latina transplant ...
