Attended 1865 last Friday when walked in was greeted by a host lovely young lady think her name was Nadia she had beautiful gray hair. She ask where I would like to sit told her the bar so she pointed me too two inside. I decided I wanted to go to the bar in back because of the gold tone. She personally walked me to the back bar and introduce me to the bartender name Ron. There I had the delicious jerk wings and rum punch which even made a better experience thanks to the host and staff for such an amazing time.

Beautiful décor with African American artwork and a great vibe from the live band and DJ. The hostess was friendly, and the wait wasn’t bad. The crowd was mixed..no clear dress code. My first blackened salmon was dry, but the second (medium well) was much better. We ordered margaritas, and they weren’t great. Prices didn’t match the menu, and there’s a credit card fee...bring cash. Great atmosphere, but food, drinks, and billing need improvement.

We hosted a family lunch at 1865 in honor of my uncle’s memorial and to celebrate his legacy as an organ donor. Everything was perfect — the food was excellent, the service outstanding, and the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Our family is deeply grateful for the care and hospitality shown to us on such a meaningful day. Highly recommend!

My experience at this location was awful. Went for a small birthday gathering. Went straight to the bar to order drinks and stood for minutes without being acknowledged. Joined the birthday table, to the seating being pressed up against the wall, and everyone sitting against the wall had to get up and move just so that one could get up or sit down. Very inconvenient for someone that may need to use the restroom as they would be disturbing everyone else on that side. Very tight and uncomfortable. Birthday gathering was extended to another table to accommodate more people. Hostess then explained that if I ordered with the previous table that I needed to go back there because the extended table was for a different waitress and a different tab. Cool, closed out with previous waitress and placed an order for the new waitress that never returned with the order. Old waitress asked of we were okay and if we had received our order, and that if not she take the order. No thank you as we had just closed out our order with you (because management didn’t want you to get all of the money) , and proceeded to wait for another waitress under the orders of the restaurant’s management team. Very...

From start to finish, everything was top tier. I I walked in and I was greeted with the biggest smile and warm welcome from Jason (and I must say he was well dressed! I started with the cheesesteak egg roll and fried lobster tail, and both were perfection crispy, flavorful, and seasoned just right. The warm bread with honey butter and oil with oregano was such a nice touch and honestly could’ve been a meal on its own.

For my entrée, I had the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts, and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time tender, perfectly cooked, and beautifully plated.

I sat at the bar with Delonta and Anaya and they took great care of me. Their service was friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home.

Lastly I had a raspberry tequila lemon drop made by Anaya and that as well was a 10/10

If you’re looking for a spot with great food, vibes, and...

My experience at 1865 was tremendously horrible and not pleasant, upon arrival to the location which was not accurate on Apple Maps. Parking was not feasible at the Steakhouse in a shopping center location. I had reservations and was told I was put on a waitlist upon arrival. Once arrived I was greeted rudely, I was told to sit and wait for my table. And the hostess continued to stare at me and tell me that it would take a while for me to be seated. After waiting over 20 mins for a table of 3 I then asked for to-go menus and was told there was no to-go drink lids, also my alcoholic beverages was watered down. I paid for my food and left. I was not happy here at 1865 and they should consider new management that...
