We stopped in for dinner on a Friday night and were surprised at how quiet the restaurant was for prime dining time. The space is very clean, modern, and spacious, with a large bar/lounge area and patio out front. Lighting in the dining room is on the brighter side, while the bar area feels warmer and more inviting. The overall vibe leans upscale, though the branded T-shirt uniforms on the servers didn’t quite match that feel.
Food: Carrot Risotto ($29) The better of the two dishes from the night. Made with lemon ricotta, pistachios (removed due to my tree nut allergy), and carrot top pesto (server confirmed no nuts). It was rich and flavorful, with the lemon ricotta especially shining. Portion size was just right since risotto is filling. Maryland Crab Cake ($30, single) Underwhelming for the price. The crab cake itself seemed small, hidden under a heavy layer of remoulade, and plated between two piles of corn, which felt like a cheap filler. Not worth $30.
Drink: Lady Outlaw ($15) – Hands down one of the best cocktails I’ve had recently. Tito’s Vodka, Elderflower Liqueur, house lemon sour, and lavender bitters, served on draft. Tip: if a restaurant has a cocktail on tap, it’s often their signature—popular enough that they batch it for consistency and speed, which means every pour comes out balanced, fresh, and exactly as intended. This one was perfectly executed and absolutely worth ordering.
Service: Our server introduced himself, was friendly, and got things moving quickly. Drinks and food came out fast, though the restaurant wasn’t busy. Water refills were timely. That said, once entrées hit the table, we weren’t checked on, which was a miss. With so many common allergies on the menu, it would also elevate the experience if servers asked about allergies up front.
Overall: A mixed but positive experience. The risotto and cocktail were excellent, while the crab cake felt overpriced and uninspired. Service was good but could be a touch more attentive. The space is nice, though the vibe didn’t fully match the “upscale” atmosphere. I’d return, but next time I’d probably sit in the bar area, which feels cozier, and take advantage of the happy hour menu that offers more variety at...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Teddy and the Bully Bar for Sunday brunch with a friend and my two nieces, and let me tell you, it was an amazing experience from start to finish!
Although I didn't opt for the bottomless mimosas or the all-you-can-eat option this time, my niece absolutely loved the buffet setup. They kept bringing out tasty dishes, and she seemed to be in heaven, sampling everything on the menu. She enjoyed the omelette station. It was a joy to watch her excitement as she tried new flavors and textures!
As for myself, I have to rave about the shrimp and grits. Let me be the first to tell u honestly—I’m pretty picky when it comes to my shrimp and grits, but Teddy and the Bully Bar knocked it out of the park! The shrimp were perfectly cooked and very flavorful, and the grits were creamy and rich, creating a heavenly combination. It’s safe to say it’s ONE of the best I’ve ever had! Let me not forget about the drinks, they are definitely worth it. I don't even remember what the name of it was but it has some strawberries in it lol.
The overall atmosphere was welcoming and fun, making it the perfect setting for an adult brunch outing. I would not recommend bringing your children it was more of an adult setting with music playing. It was a little loud but that is to be expected with adults. The staff was attentive, ensuring our glasses were always full and that we were enjoying our meals.
I highly recommend Trddy and the Bully Bar for a weekend brunch with friends or family. Whether you’re a fan of bottomless mimosas or just looking for delicious comfort food, this place will not disappoint. I can’t wait to go back and explore more...
Read moreI came in for lunch with my team from work yesterday. The restaurant is HUGE and much nicer than I thought it would be (based solely on the name). The staff were friendly, but our waiter was very slow. I'm pretty sure they forgot one of my colleague's entrees, but the manager came out and said the chef didn't like how it came out, so they were making it again. When his glorified flat-bread finally came out, it was burnt to a crisp and apparently tasted "like cardboard." We convinced him to send it back and he ended up just getting a steak salad, which he said was excellent.
I got the Chicken Reuben and it was OK. I don't think the chicken was quite cooked to 165°...there were a handful of bites mid-sandwich that didn't taste quite right (texture-wise) but it wasn't pink, so I did eat it. Honestly, that was a gamble and I probably should have sent it back. Thankfully I didn't get food poisoning. The bread was good, but what I had was basically just a grilled chicken sandwich with thousand island dressing. They comped us 3 desserts for the table (because of my colleague's bad experience) and I wasn't impressed with either of them. One was a deconstructed strawberry shortcake with rosewater ice cream...the cake was D-R-Y and I don't really care for eating roses, so I wasn't a fan of the ice cream. The other two were a deconstructed brownie sundae (brownie, ice cream and cherries). The ice cream was bourbon flavored and basically tasted like a campfire. It seemed like the men at the table enjoyed that one, but I wasn't into it.
I drank water and my bill with tax and tip was $20. Definitely not worth it and I won't...
