Me and a friend had a very underwhelming experience. We arrived shortly after happy hour started on a Thursday in August and we were the only guests there. We sat inside at the bar at first. The bartender came over pretty immediately with menus and took our drink orders. The margaritas were good and fairly priced for happy hour. The space is small so the kitchen is basically a part of the bar. As we were eating the chips and salsa that was provided, the kitchen started to get really smoky from what the chefs were cooking. It was so bad we decided to move outside to the tables on the sidewalk. The food came out shortly after we moved outside. We both got three different tacos. She enjoyed them but I thought they were just ok. The flavor was very mild and the onions on top were sliced way too largely. We did enjoy the drinks though and ordered 2 more rounds. The service was pleasant, but not outstanding. If we lived in the neighborhood, we might come back but it's nothing we would go out of our way for.

Always a pleasure to dine and drink at Tequila & Mezcal. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Service is quick and all the meats in the dishes are tasty and tender. The portions are generous so bring a friend or friends. The guacamole is delicious as it is prepared at the table. I love to stop in for this lovely dinning experience. Be adventurous and try everything at least once. The food is consistent. A dish not on the menu is Molecajete mixto...it is for 2 or more people and has a nice $$, but well worth it because it serves at least 2 persons. Ask the server. I am glad I live close by so I can walk in and then amble home after a satisfying meal and a few delicious cocktails infused with a variety of mezcal and/or tequila, living up to its name. Bravo.

Since the moment they opened, I’ve been a fan of their amazing food. I knew they’d be great since they’re owned by the same people who owns Habanero Taqueria. Their service and environment are spotless and their menu elevates Mexican food to more than just amazing tacos. The servers are able to explain every detail of the menu with a kind and generous smile. I go there most Fridays after work and I feel like at home. I hope they have a long life in this community, because they not only have great food and service, but also employ local immigrant Me I can who really honor their culinary heritage. Thank you for being here!

Update: Mgmt reached out at refunded our order and offered a promo code to use if we visit again.

Worst dine in experience ever. It’s a holiday so I was prepared to wait however long to be seated but to call that experience service would be a stretch. The problem is that there is no system, just a bunch of employees running around frantically. Instead of having everyone play the role of waiter, runner, cook, sous chef, and cashier, why not have each person do ONE thing? The person running outside to seat guests should not also be preparing plates. And then the only seemingly reasonable system of ordering via mobile device is flawed because you have to put in payment info and therefore you’re stuck waiting an hour to be served. I felt they were more focused on their online orders since they were able to charge us with or without serving us. They had lines of folks waiting to get their to-go orders cancelled that option out for me. My fajitas didn’t come w tortillas or any sides. My fiancé’s food didn’t even come so I had to go fuss at management to get it to-go. All that and the food wasn’t even as good as it appeared. They gave us to-go tequila-lemonade to try and compensate for 2 hours and...

My wife and I love a good mezcal so were excited when we heard that the folks behind Tequeria Habanero were opening this place. We settled in to our table, taking in the colorful decor and were excited to see some unique and interesting bottles behind the bar. Unfortunately, when we asked about about mezcal or tequila list, we were simply told they didn't have one. Looking forward to learning from the expects (heck, its in their name) I asked if the server could recommend a mezcal for sipping and she said she couldn't . . . so we asked if the bartender could make a suggestion. The bartender came over and instead of making a suggesting simply asked if we were ready to order. The drinks we ordered (hibiscus margarita and the burro loco) were good, but not the experience we were hoping for -- or that is suggested...
