I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience was simply unacceptable and I hope others will be aware.
I strongly express my dissatisfaction with the extremely rude and indifferent attitude of the male staff member who took our order.
Frankly, it’s outrageous that someone offering such poor service would even receive a tip. Your forced gratuity policy without transparency is unacceptable, and your treatment of customers is unwelcoming and unethical.
The food was mediocre at best, and the service was worse. You seriously need to improve both. Stop treating guests this way — especially those who don’t speak perfect English.
We had lunch today as a family of four, and the experience was extremely disappointing. We didn’t even ask for the bill, but a staff member brought the card machine directly to our table and pressured us to pay on the spot.
Without any prior notice, you automatically included an 18% gratuity in the bill, then had the nerve to ask for an additional tip of 3%, 5%, or 8% on top of that — again, with no explanation.
Not realizing the gratuity was already included, I unknowingly selected an extra 5%, thinking I was choosing from one of the options — only to discover later that I had paid two tips, totaling 23%.
When I brought this up and asked to cancel the extra 5% tip, the staff (possibly the manager) told me the system was already closed and nothing could be done.
As a foreign visitor with limited English, I felt taken advantage of and treated with complete disrespect. The staff was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the entire...
Read moreGood authentic Thai food. We had a group of 4 and all of our dishes were very tasty/authentic. Loved my Panang curry! Service was good. Apps (spring rolls and curry puffs) just okay. The Thai iced tea wasn’t very good. The cream overpowered the taste.
I didn’t love the atmosphere. I probably wouldn’t eat here again and would rather choose the option for pickup. Almost all of our food came on paper plates with plastic utensils. Probably not a good place for a group larger than 4. I’ve seen some people mention a smell and I’d agree with them. I can’t put my finger on what it is, but it’s slightly off putting.
Food: 4.5 Service: 4 Overall Vibe: 3
Would I recommend or eat here again? Would recommend. Pickup instead of dine-in. Or maybe better suited for lunch. Would I dine here again? Probably not. There are so many other Thai places in DC that I’d prefer to...

The place is a bit small but they made great use of the space and I liked the ambiance. The waitresses were all nice to us. I tried the pad see ew ($17), papaya salad ($10), and the chicken satay ($9). At $17, the price for the pad see ew was steep but not uncommon for the area. It tasted good but some parts were salty and other parts were bland - I think the sauce needed to be mixed in more to give it a uniform taste. The papaya salad was very delicious and was refreshingly cool and spicy without overwhelming my taste buds. The chicken satay was good but I thought the satay sauce could use a little more depth of flavor. The sweet vinegar that came with it tasted good but didn't really match the chicken either. Overall, I did enjoy my experience here and would recommend it to those who are already...
