I visited Trinity Grill & Social Market for the first time today after a family member recommended it. Sadly, that will also be my last visit.
After checking the on-screen menu, I went to the counter to order. The guy at the counter (Black man with locs) took my order. Since it was my first time, I started to ask a question: “What’s type of fis—” “Whiting.” he interrupted, cutting me off.
I brushed it off and said, “Okay, I’ll take the fish.” “Do you want fries?” he asked.
I looked back up at the menu to double-check and started to reply, “It comes with fri—” He cut me off again and said, while waving his hands, “I know what it says up there, but that’s not what I asked you. I asked you do you want fries.”
I was stunned. I didn’t expect to be talked to like that, especially as a first-time customer. He was short, rude, and completely lacked basic customer service. I stood there for a second, shook my head, and said, “Give me a minute.” I took a picture of the menu and left without ordering.
About 10 minutes later, I called to ask for the manager. The same voice answered: “May I speak with the owner or manager?” “He ain’t here.” “Do you know when he will be in?” “I’on know. He’s the boss. He comes to work when he wants to.”
As a Black man myself, I was honestly embarrassed and disappointed. We already fight stereotypes about professionalism, and to see someone treat customers like that is disheartening. My family member who referred me said she won’t be going back either.
If this is the attitude representing your business, you’ll lose more customers than you gain. My first visit to Trinity Grill & Social Market was my last — and that’s unfortunate, because word of mouth can make a business or...

Didn’t open the doors until 9:19 when I got inside I informed him that I wanted 3 wings waffles and a bacon&egg sandwich, he informed me they were cleaning the grill and to wait 45 min, I agreed to wait 45 min, as I waited two other customers came into the store, the unpleasant, unprofessional employee Mally came outside to one of the customers car to give her two containers of food, I then went inside the store and asked him for clarification why did two customers receive their food before me he grew loud and nasty and demanded to give me a refund back, I told him to stop yelling at me and that he was being unprofessional this is not how you treat customers he shrugged his shoulders and said ok, I then asked when his supervisor came he indicated 7am but I find it how to believe when the store is always open late!! I now spent $27 on food that I don’t have and money that have to be refunded! Save your money and take it to a place where they display customer service skills, professionalism, respect and care about providing the most exceptional customer...
Read moreI was excited to return to this spot after a great experience a year ago. What a difference a year makes! I had ham added to my club sandwich. After eating one section of the sandwich, I could smell a funny smell coming from the ham on the remaining 3 sections of the sandwich. I prayed over my food, so I will be covered, thank God! When ordering your sandwich, make sure to let them know what bread you'd prefer. Because once the bread hits the toaster you can't change bread, unless you pay $2.15 extra. Since the sandwich was almost $20.00, I had to suck it up and eat the white bread. I also want to mention that the cashier voluntarily told me that the doughnuts were "fresh" and had "just" come in! Neither statement was true! The doughnut was dry amd definitely did not come in today or even yesterday! I had honestly planned to return and patronize this establishment again, but they will never...
