I'd say everything about this magnificent osteria is perfetto! All pizzas, sandwiches, and pastas are absolutely delicious; especially their cappuccini, everything here is made with 100% passion and perfection. This restaurant is absolutely to divine for, if you're looking for an authentic Italian place to eat, drink, and enjoy company!
Our family—though more often than not, just with my father and I—had been coming here since late-last year, whether it was for take-out or dine-in, the staff are very accommodative and friendly, almost family! The staff literally go above and beyond in making sure you have an authentic Italian experience, so please do tip them generously—if you're able—to show them appreciation and gratitude for their hard-earned work, they deserve it!
Our family and friends thank you ever-so much for the hard work you and the staff have put into this grand operation; the food, service, and everything is just awesome. A little piece of Italy in Alaska, is all I'd ever want.
If I could rate even higher, I'd say you all deserve a million stars out of five!!
The list of my favorites are too long to list here, but here are my best suggestions if you ever decide to come dine here at Nonna's! • The Cure, been my go-to sandwich, very savoury and lots of meats. • The Calabrian, if you're wanting some kick in the ol' taste buds! Bring on the heat, it's delicious! • The Puccia, love the meatballs! Super saucy and delicious too! • The all'Amatriciana, the best pasta dish with a slight kick and savoury taste that is just "awesome-sauce." • The Zeppoli, super delicious, both the pastry and cream is tasty and sweet! • The Maritozzi, a baseball-sized pastry full of deliciousness, suggested filling: the whipped cream. 😋 • Cappuccino with two extra shots, for you coffee nerds out there; this will surely wake you up and give you an energetic boost at any time of the day! • Doppio, you can never fully complete a big meal without having a doppio after, as per Italian tradition. 😊
We will always come here whenever the opportunity arises, literally the best authentic Italian restaurant in the Valley!

Read moreThe service was above average, she kept forgetting simple requests- like forks. The pizza crust was chewy and flavorless, minus the burnt areas. The red sauce on the pizza was very good and the toppings were fresh. The pizza was about the size of a small in other restaurants, and it was $19, not a great value. The pasta was chewy, bland and was not cooked thoroughly. I was expecting some great handmade pasta; i make better. The sauce was ok, not outstanding. The price of $33 is NOT worth it for the pasta dish that was a small serving size. The pasta did come with a salad which was the best part of the meal. The pasta also came with a single slice of foccaci bread, which was tough and flavorless. The tiramisu was really good, did not like that it was gluten free It definitely comes across in the taste, but all in all it was very good. The canelloni was also really good. The atmosphere was nice, it's just loud. Definitely not an italian atmosphere, but not bad. I don't plan on going back because of the poor value for and...
Read moreAny food you get here will astound you. It is genuinely so good, and the customer service is top notch. A few things to note when visiting:
The menu is small. But the things listed are above and beyond in quality. You can expect sandwiches, salads, a soup special. Pasta is only served after 5pm. Pizza is served from around noon till five. Soup tends to sell out so if that’s what you are hoping for, go earlier for lunch!
This is a small establishment, and you may have a little bit of a wait during busy times. But their servers are so kind, and the food so good, you won’t really care too much about the wait. The pizza oven was having some difficulties and we waited longer than usual, and they gave us free cookies at the end. They are just those kind of people.
The pizza is some of the best we have had. It is made from scratch right in the same room.
This is our go to stop from now on anytime we pass through Wasilla! We might even take the hour out of anchorage just to eat here. Truly, a...
