Chick-fil-A — Restaurant in Watauga

I tried to write corporate about this place because this location goes against everything that “Chick Fil A” stands for but they’re independently owned and operated so not much I can do other that write a review to warn other people, call better business, and the health department. This is the closest one to me and I still drive 15 minutes away to the one on north Tarrant parkway because this place is so terrible spend almost 10 dollars for a the meal and half the time only 3 out of the 12 nuggets were edible the rest if them were either over cooked or undercooked a few times I got food poisoning here as did some of my friends and family another time I was on my way to a songwriting session I was doing really good on time but I hadn’t ate neither had my mom we stopped by there just to get something to hold us over till we left we got 2 large waters and a large fry total was 3.12 we didn’t realize till we got to the window that my mom had forgotten her wallet when we pulled up to the window my mom told the lady and she said okay Ill let them know we said okay thank you she told the manager to which the manager said okay I’ll cancel the order we said okay thank you to which the manager responded why are you still here your holding up the line leave I had to go back to my house get my wallet and stop somewhere else because I can’t go without eating I’ll get sick making me almost 30 minutes late it shocked me because other friends in different states and it even happened once to me before when I lived in a different state I had quite the bill and had accidently forgot my wallet and they’ve said oh that’s okay just take it I wasn’t trying to get a free large fry my mom genuinely forgot her wallet if we were trying to really go for it don’t you think we would’ve gone for it and tried really hard to get a really good free meal my friend who is pregnant came through their drive thru and ordered for herself and a few others her being pregnant didn’t think to check the order she got home to realize they didn’t give her - her food she called up there and sent her boyfriend to which they agreed he went up there and they were accusing him of lying because they have no record of that order on file he tried numerous times to get the manager to agree and she refused so my 7 month pregnant friend had to eat cereal for dinner the next day my friend went up there to talk to the manager and try to get it sorted out and asked for a refund to which she proceeds to tell her that they’re not allowed to give refunds my friend used to work at chick fil a and that’s a complete and total lie all she offered to do was give her coupons for that location who in there right mind would go back after all that? We have been coming to chick fil a for 2 years because they have always catered to my sons allergies. I came in today to get his 6 piece grilled original nuggets with no marinade and we were told that chick fil a will “NO-LONGER CATER TO ALLERGIES” this absolutely infuriated me due to the fact I just had chick fil a down the road on heritage trace yesterday and there was 0 issues WHATSOEVER doing plain original chicken. Chick fil a has always been a place we highly recommend and highly strive for in the allergen community due to rare disease and risking anaphylaxis with certain spices and items n the marinade. I will NEVER recommend this chick fil a to anyone ever again I talked to 3 employees one being Robert and nobody sincerely cared to see what they could do it was just “no we don’t cater to allergies we started this November 1st” I’m also fairly sure we have also gotten nuggets from here since then being as y’all are 2 miles from us but whatever I am absolutely insulted that the “will not cater for special needs “ was thrown in our face. I have visited this location multiple times since moving to this area. My last visit, I had to wait in line for over 30 minutes to order and receive my food. What most upset me was when I was receiving my drinks at the window, an employee who was not wearing gloves passed my drinks to me with his palm covering the top of the cup where a straw is placed. What unsanitary practice. I was extremely disappointed in Chick-fil-A and I now question their sanitary practices. I filed a complaint via mobile app and requested a follow up. Corporate advised they'd pass my concern to the local Chick-fil-A and I have yet to hear back from them.

I was contacted personally from the manager Brenda regarding my issue. I was informed that all staff have been properly trained on how to handle drinks and assured that this wouldn't happen again. Brenda was very kind to me, listened to my concerns, and made me feel like a valued customer. I will now be returning to this location as I feel my concern has been addressed.
