Tío Fito — Restaurant in Waterbury

Okay, so I went with my boyfriend today afternoon around 4:30 pm. I was curious I never see that place before I like to try new food and new spots in Waterbury. First you can smell the food for the corner!! Quality food , delicious smell. Service very nice guys , menu very well explained and the guy is right there for answer every question. I ordered the Mangu service Im Dominican and I can tell you this is the best mangu I ate, came with salami and cheese , soft , delicious not grease not dry. Perfect.

My boyfriend order the dumpling with chicken , pastrami , pernil. He is native American and he loved it!! Talked about the food with the whole family. Delicious

Empanadillas 1 cheese and 1 pernil! Wow wow wow hands down because they are really really good. A lot of cheese. Also cheap food

Friends I found it the crown 💎 of Waterbury empanadas!!!!! When walking up to Tio Fito’s it’s like you’re transported to a Puerto Rican chinchorro! With a bar set up and beautiful patio area it was blissfully nostalgic. I’m sooo excited these empanadas changed my mood, gave me nostalgia of 🇵🇷, and made my tastebuds dance! Their empanadas are stuffed with juicy meat, melted cheese, with a perfectly crispy shell. Their deliciously grilled pinchos were to die for, with the perfect balance of charr and bbq! Traditional music playing outside. The pinchos barbecue sauce was not overly sweet, instead it's a balanced sweetness and tanginess. The chicken was very tender. Their included garlic sauce elevated the plain white bread, which also elevated the meal. The tostones were crispy and crunchy and not too thick.
