Wendy's — Restaurant in Waterbury

Good food at great prices. They have also REALLY improved their fries. I always left disappointed with Wendy's fries but now they do really top McDonald's. Didn't think it could be be done but they are now the winning fry. Let me share my latest experiences with Wendy's. Let us talk about consistency. It is great to get hot, crisp, fries. They are really good. I had even agreed they are as good if not better than McDonald's but Wendy's effort has not been able to stand the test of time. For every hot and crisp batch of fries they deliver they fall back on their old ways. Cold and or undercooked fries. I even went into complain. My take out order was missing the dipping sauce. A real pain since my options are to either park and go inside or get back into the drive-up line. I wasn't happy. So I parked and went inside. My cooling chicken nuggets were about to reach the cool temp of my fries. I asked for some BB sauce and also asked the young attendant to let the manager know that my fries were cold. This seemed to amuse the young lady who then called out "his fries are cold". So it was insult to injury. I'm very disappointed with Wolcott Rd. Wendy's. Too bad!! Wendy's once again has upped their consistency. I've been getting good service and good food at some of the best prices in the industry. This unfortunately only applies to the takeout service. Come inside and all bets are off. A little disappointing because it's occasionally nice to sit at a table. I'll pull into a long line at the drive up and still beat a short line on the inside. I’m absolutely enraged. I asked for my Hi-C no ice. When I get to the second window I notice it has ice so I politely asked for it with no ice because that’s what I had originally ordered and that’s what they should’ve made. INSTEAD, I’m greeted very rudely by the HOST GUADALUPE and Patricia may I add who snatches the cup and instead of just tossing the Hi-C WITH ice in the garbage and just kindly making me the Hi-C no ice I asked for, she instead proceeds to dump the ICE SCOOP for the ice into the cup and starts to SCOOP out the ice from inside of the cup that was originally handed to her. 1) that is a food safety violation using an ice scoop that has been used all day and dumping it into my hi-C that she would then go on to hand out the window to me! 2) that situation was handled in a very unprofessional manner when I was kind throughout the whole situation. And my boyfriend was a witness of it all as well. I’m disgusted, would she have wanted someone to do that to her drink? I believe not. Disappointed isn’t...

NEW YEAR BUT STILL OLD COLD BURGERS I was given 3 junior bacon cheeseburgers that are completely cold. Absolutely no heat coming off them. The cheese isn’t even melted at all. It’s obvious they gave me burgers that were cooked at any possible time today. The fries were barely even warm. I thought they may use microwaves at fast food joints but clearly they didn’t even use that. if you can’t even serve hot burgers there’s a serious problem here. The light skinned girl with a ponytail who gave me the bag had a look on her face that clearly said “I know what I’m doing is wrong”. It’s about 9:45pm on a Monday night (1/3/22) I’m not sure how this place has 4 stars. I rarely go to fast food places but if I do I’ll go to the Wendy’s on Thomaston St. before this place every single time. The Wendys in Rocky Hill puts this one to shame. It also wasn’t busy at all. No cars in the drive thru. Employees should care about the food they put out. Bad service. Would give no stars if I could. Cold burgers and fries for 10$...
