Grand Central Cafe in Waterville is an absolute gem, especially if you’re looking for delicious gluten-free pizza! We stopped in with both kids and adults, and everyone left happy and full. The gluten-free pizza crust was one of the best I’ve had—flavorful, and perfectly cooked in their brick pizza oven. It’s rare to find a place that nails both regular and gluten-free crusts, but they’ve mastered it. We tried a few different pizzas, but the pesto chicken pizza was the standout—loaded with flavor, fresh toppings, and just the right amount of sauce. The brick oven gives every pizza a slightly smoky, wood-fired taste that takes it to the next level. The restaurant itself is eclectic and comfortable, with a welcoming vibe that works well for families or small groups. It’s conveniently located near the interstate, making it a perfect stop for a great meal while traveling. We also loved chatting with the lovely owner, who has worked here for over 18 years. Her pride and care for the restaurant really shine through in the food and service. Grand Central Cafe is a great find—fantastic pizza, friendly faces, and worth every stop off the highway.

Great menu with tons of delicious topping combos. Their crust is spectacular, sauce is flavorful and ingredients are all fresh and amazing quality! Love the creativity and warmth in this place. A must visit for all in the area and anyone passing through. Also all of their salad dressings are homemade! Don’t skip the carrot cake 😉

My wife and I tried a new spot known for wood fired pizza, it didn’t disappoint. The pizza had a perfectly charred crust with fresh toppings and cheeses. We weren’t planning on dessert, but the carrot cake was too tempting to pass up moist, not too sweet, and absolutely worth it. Cozy vibes, great food we’ll definitely be back!

What an exquisite slice of space in Waterville with the most delicious pizza in Maine! From wood fired oven, great crust, delicious sauce and all the toppings it's a clear winner. I'm vegan and delighted to report they can accommodate with vegan cheese. Of course they have that ooey gooey delicious dairy cheese as well. They have gluten free options. The vibe is off the beaten path and I found it completely inviting, warm and friendly. I've wanted to go for a few years when I housesit in the area but due to COVID they had take out only after 5 p.m.for a while. I'm not one to venture out too much after dark in the winter so was delighted to find they have dine in back. They still offer take out after 5 p.m. on certain days. I will frequent Grand Central Cafe and am telling my friends about this great find. The atmosphere just adds to their...

Food good but they weren't able to make sandwiches when we met. I'm not sure why you would say your open for business when half of your menu is not available. Was a bit off putting because I really wasn't in the mood for pizza. I wanted a sandwich. The pizza was ok...nothing special....but I wanted a sandwich. It be like opening a automotive garage and having no tools to do the work. To be honest I probably won't be back. I stuck to everything I touched. Place is run down and the decor really needs to be upgraded. Save your money and go elsewhere unless you like sticking to your table then by all means...
